NMC Decision Letter 2016

Hi! Anyone here who knows how long it takes for the NMC to release a decision letter on your application, as I am anxiously waiting for mine for a little over a month now.

Hello there. One of my known to got her DL on 24th May 2017. She entered the queue on 28th April 2017. so, the time taken is almost two calender months for her. Hopefully, we will all get our DL in the coming week.

I entered the assessment que on April 20

I received a feedback on June 14 stating that i am lacking the clock hours of my theoretical components.

I was surprised because i thought the RLE,TOR and the form would suffice.

I had no idea on how should i present the desired info to the nmc and besides, it was the registrar from my school's first time to encounter the NMC form.

I was totally confused and decided to go to my collegue's school (he is now an UKRN). I went to the registrar which i was then guided to the nursing department. I begged to see some example of the documents that they usually send to the NMC and to my surprise, i did lacking some. Most of the nursing graduates from this school are now workong in the UK. The documents were

1. RLE

2. TOR

3. Course description

4. Breakdown science and nursing related- subjects (she advised me not to include PE, math e.t.c coz the NMC doesnt want to see many details)

It was somehow looked like this

Theory. Clinicial

Biochem. 80h. -

Microbio. 40h. -

Moth and child nsg. 70h. 200h

****

Total. 3000. 2700

I am now currently waiting for the desired documents and most probably will send them by July 17.

My coordinator from UK told me that I "might" be waiting another 40 to 60 days due to this concern.

I have indeed invested a lot, the best i can do is "waiting"

Give the verification form to the school where you finished BSN. I was also a transferee. Inportant thing is the subjects that you have takeb in your previous college/ university are labeled as credited in your transcript of records.

-I did the same thing but I've noticed the school I graduated fill up with the dates I attended the second school and ignored the two years from the first school, so to sum it all I took up nursing for 3 years only, do I need to ask them to change the date and put the date I started with my former school? I am confused with the dates because I need to be precise with the dates on my online portal!Thank you so much!

how many hours is it supposed to be for them to approve

This is a questions about the NMC application once uploaded and on the queue. I have just opened the application and all the forms that are in the online application are blank. is that supposed to be like that? all the referee checks and university transcripts are also blank. just wondering if they upload somewhere where the applicant cant see them or if for some reason all of mine are just blank...The areas I filled in are all there just not the forms the NMC have uploaded. thanks

Correct me if I am wrong dear, but is it the bar-coded forms you'd like to check? I suppose it is not possible as the blank forms in the portal are still the same ones we downloaded for completion. Unfortunately, I don't think that they upload the forms they received from us. I wish they do because I also want to have a look at it again.

"The programme should be three years in length (or equivalent) and contain a minimum of 500 hours of clinical practice which must be evidenced by a transcript of training from the applicant's higher education institution."

It only mentioned "clinical hours" but not the theoretical one

Have you already submutted your online application? I'm also in the same situation. What I did is I asked my two universities to fill up the barcoded form just to make sure that it will be evident that i finished my nursing course. Then, i put the date i started my course on my online application. I just emailed nmc about it that i am not sure which date to put.

- Hello, I haven't sent yet the forms because I had a hunch it will be a problem in the future. Same thing I asked the previous school the forst one and spoke with the Dean also but they refused my request, they reason was the degree issuing school should provide those. Luckily, the school I graduated provide everything with certification of credited subjects and included in the clock hours and my TOR has all the said information. The Dean advised me to ask School I graduated to change the date because they ignored the two years I've spent and they're the one who credited the subjects. Hopefully, it will suffice for NMC.
