Hi everyone!
I just joined the site hoping I could get advice from all of you who are yearning to work in the UK.
I am currently in Kuwait. As soon as I passed my IELTS UKVI on June 18, 2016, i applied thru workabroad.com for employment to UK. Luckily loads of agencies responded but Omanfil was the fastest to accommodate me. They arranged Skype interview with KCH and fortunately nailed it. I got my offer letter and now I am due to take my CBT on September 8 2016. Anyone here can advice what to revise? How long will it take to be deployed to the UK after CBT? Coz i dont wanna resign from my job now thinkin it might take 6 mos or more to process all the documentations for visa and all... I'm a bread winner and I can't afford to be stucked for a long time.
Hoping to hear from you guys...

Hi!
First, congratulations on passing the IELTS and being hired by KCH.
As for the CBT prep, a lot of those who passed this test before used the Royal Marsden Book as a review material.
But what I found very helpful when I took the exam were those links provided by NMC in their website which is called the NMC blueprint. Click on all those links, some don't work but try to at least read each one of those.
Goodluck on your CBT!
Thank you nurse_cardio. I've been reading the other forums about CBT and all the suggestions and so as your advices enlightened me a lot. Hopefully im gonna ace it like you all do. Are you in UK now? If you dont mind me askin, how long did it take you to finally get deployed to UK from the moment u passed your CBT?

Hello Nurse Rossi, i am interested to the job opening that you found. thank you for the details you posted.
Foremost, CONGRATULATIONS for passing your interview.
Can you give further details regarding the interview that you underwent. what are the questions provided for you to answer? Honestly I am trembling with fear in regards to interview of employers---afraid that i might not pass it. Interview with KCH will be my first ever interview so dearly please tell me about the interview. =..( Hope you would reply here.
Hi nursejoycastro. Don't be frightened, the interviewers are nice, there will be 2 of them. 1 will ask the questions and 1 will take note your answers. To guide you, watch all this clip on youtube

Congratulations NurseRossi. I saw Omanfil's ad on KCH opening and I'm interested to apply for the General Wards post. Did they assign you an area during/after the interview. THank you.
Hi em30 go ahead apply for the post. I had my skype interview, i guess i was just overwhelmed and forgot to ask about that lol. What i only clarified were the no. of work hours which will be 37.5 hrs a week and a 12hrs shift. Also the accommodation, the length of getting booked with OSCE and the salary. Though they send me the offer letter but it wasnt specified unto which department i will be. Anyways I am not bothered about that for now coz my main concern at the moment is to pass the cbt so wish me luck and pls do pray for me :) God bless to us all.
I think that's more important, it's as long as we pass the CBT and OSCE.
Actually, I passed an interview conducted by Colchester Hospital, however, I am not really sure if I will push through with my application with them. I am
caught up with the dilemma of whether to work at London or in a hospital away from the center.

Hi NurseRossi. Im Love from the Philippines. Can I have your email add? Its best for us to have a communication since we are in the same situation. I just got a job offer from Kings College Hospital last June, and now Im preparing for the CBT exam. After all, we are going to be colleagues. í ½í¹‚ If that's fine with you. An email add would be great since I am not fond of using facebook. Take care!
Hi all,
Firstly, thank you for the prayers. I finally passed the CBT last September 8. Sorry if did not reply to all of you who have privately message me as I am still new in this forum. For you who wanted some guides for CBT you can email me at [email protected]... Also to let u know, I handed my resignation and looking forward to work in the UK. Omanfil actually wanted me to be deployed by October 27 even without the DL yet but unfortunately I declined as I need 90 days to formally leave my current post and take all my exit benefits. However Omanfil are so kind to include me for January 2017 deployment. So see you all guys in the UK. Good luck and God bless. I will update you all on my assessment applications as well. Cheers x
