NM License Renewal, anyone?

Published

Good morning..I'm a new member here..I had been reading this site for quite sometime now...I find this site very useful as I'm planning to apply licensure in NM...I have some questions though, I hope someone would be kind enough to reply...

I have read in some threads that NM licensure renewal needs SSN, what happens to the license if the nurse fails to renew?

Retrogression is present here in th Philippines, so I'm expecting that if I pass NCLEX and IELTS, then apply for VisaScreen Certificate, be petitioned, then apply for green card now, my papers for immigration will be processed in year 2013 or 2014...:o and NM license expires every 2 years...:o

What happens if the my papers for immigration will be processed in year 2013 and I don't have an active license in NM?:o

i have completed 30 hours of CEU in case they'll ask for it. and no, they haven't sent me any confirmation. should they be sending me a receipt for the payment? i paid via credit card. i'm not even sure if they received my fax (application form).

Look back on your credit card statement and see if the money was taken out. If it was then they must have received it. What I meant by confirmation was did the fax status sent: "ok" sent or something like that? I would make sure that the 30 hours of CEUs are approved by the NM BRN even if they don't ask for it. They might just ask for verfication and if you dont' have the approved courses they won't renew it or they can change your status. Always have your ducks in a row.

oh ok. i did try asking them before, i emailed countless of times but they didn't really give me a direct, clear answer. i used rnceus.com. my friends got ce from that site and successfully renewed their licenses.

yeah wen i sent the forms thru fax, it was okay. how long does it normally take for em to process it?

I have no idea how long it takes them to process applications. I wish I had that answer. Ok, if it said "fax sent ok" or something like that, then it was received. Unfortunately it doesn't say who received it or where it was received. Just keep checking the NM BRN website to see if it's renewed. Let us know when it is.

ok, i will update y'all here.

that was wat i wanted to know. since there's not corresponding expiration date to the present active license online checking in NMBON website, how would i know that the one that's active is the old license or the renewed one already? coz i'm afraid i'll only find out that my application wasn't successful after my old license has gone beyond the expiration date already. :(

would they charge me twice if i resend my application? i just want to make sure they get it. but i wouldn't want to pay double for only one service.

thanks for the help!

I have successfully renewed my NM license but sadly i had to pay the late fee. it's frustrating because their office personnel weren't answering my calls, emais -- leading to the delay.

But do not lose hope. God will give you your renewed license on time! I just hope I can get to the US soon, just waiting for my US deployment date. My agency is having difficulty placing their nurses.

anyone renewed their license with out ssn? thanks..
