NLN Results....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I took my test on 1/27....I read on here some people are getting their results back in 12 days...well that's today. Does anyone who took their test that day have theirs back? How about those of you that took it just before then...are your results back yet?

I was fine this morning until I looked out my window and saw the mailbox. Then it hit me. Now I'm a NERVOUS NERVOUS NERVOUS wreck!!

Alrighty...hmmm. Well I'll be waiting on the mail truck.

I can't wait until it is over. After this one I need to tackle Accuplacer and then the NET. I will need a hospital bed with a nurse taking care of me. lol

wow... i wonder if schools require an entrance exam why can't there be one standard exam, why are they like 5 different ones??????? If there is MCAT for med school and PCAT for pharm school and SAT and what not why can't there be one test, i dunno call it NSAT??? Oh well, i should be one to talk, i only applied to one school. Good luck with taking the other tests and what the heck is Accuplacer???

Good job mystiqx. Batman I've been praying for you too. Good advice above. Keep a watch cause even though our proctors would call out 10 mins, 5 mins, 1 min. I still kept an eye on my watch the whole time so I could get an idea for how much time I had and how much time I should spend on a question---or if I should just go on.

I got a letter from my school saying the committee will be meeting in March. So still a few more weeks wait for me to see if I actually made it or not.

Prayers for doing well and prayers against nervousness for those of you that have yet to take it.

well hi guys, I took the dreaded NLN yesterday 2/23 and I am not sure how i did, I studied from the Mary McDonald guide and thought i was pretty good at it. On the actual NLN test i got by fine with the verbal part, which was my biggest worry going in, the math which i thought was my best part, i think i did horrible at, i ran out of time and i had to guess tha last 10, the science part was so much different from the study guide, many many differnt types of questions, not much A & P, a lot of Physics and chemistry questions, had the one about the weight in Newtons, i choose 50, had the ? about who AB can donate to, i choose AB only, did not know the answer at the time just tried to reason it out, but later found that the answer was correct, hope i can help someone else out. I guess I got the nightmare new test a lot of you on this board seemed to get. Am very disillusioned about what the results will be.

HELP!!!!!

Worried sick now that i have actually taken the test.

Mystiqx, 124 is very good! Give yourself a pat on the back rather than a scolding. I am so glad you got your scores in though, I can't imagine what it would have been like to wait that long. My math was the worst on mine too, but that was completely anticipated. Is it just the one school you applied to? What was minimum score you know of that they accept or is it based completely on your NLN score? You know what we on this site are so driven to succeed that we forget to remember the competition that isn't on here (because it's not that serious to them) and how they compare to us. When I took a personal survey of NLN scores at my school (which is one of the only accredited schools for ADN so very very competitive) I was shocked to hear how low some people scored on the NLN. Keep that in mind. I don't know if you read my Plan B thread but honestly after I got my NLN results I was pretty bummed, made my Plan B and feel fantastic and am able to concentrate again!

Thanks DesertRain, i guess i was more upset at the fact that i spent 3 months studying for math since it was the part that scared me the most, and it was still my lowest score, but someone told me if i hadn't studied so hard it might have been worse. I only applied to one school, private Hospital ADN program, it had all the eliments i wanted and i would still be able to keep my current job.The school is looking for a 55 composite percentile for eligibility and they specificially want a 45 percentile on the English section (I got a 82%) I think i remember seeing the plan B thread i will definately read it.

I think i am nervous too since i had alot of issues in undergrad and it may work against me. I just wish i didn't make so many stupid mistakes, cause now it may come back and bite me in the butt, i had no idea i'd figure out what direction i wanted to take 4 yrs after graduating college.

I was the same way mystx...i graduated college almost three years ago (time flies...) and after spending all that time and money getting a degree, I realized that as much as i loved studying my major.. i had no intention of ever doing it as work! oops.

I take mine next week and I swear I can't remember a thing. I am having terrible brain block. I know I know some of it, but feel that I have crammed too much in at once. I took today totally off. I am actually thinking of this test when I sleep. Anyone else do that?! Go over answers in their head while they are actually sleeping or trying to?! I am nuts!! lol

Does anyone remember the Newton weight question?! I want to look it up!! Thanks!! I need every point I can get. hehe

I know how you feel, went through the same thing. I litterally dreamt about taking the test ( and failing it no doubt) anyway, i think you should take sunday off too. Don't think about it, watch tv, veg out, do something else.

You will do fine. Crossing fingers and toes for you :)

P.S. You are not nuts!

I took the NLN on 2/17 and anxious to find out how I made out. I think I did OK on the verbal and science but the Math, probably not so well.

I got my mine but got confused with the scoring and told my family memeber I passed when I really did not I feel like such a failure a whole year studying and now I have to wait 6 months more :crying2: :( :bluecry1:
