NJCU ABSN 2020

Hi everyone - I am considering applying for the Jersey City NJCU ABSN program starting in 2020. Has anyone submitted their application?

@Fitzy31I got an email from NursingCAS yesterday that my application was verified. And now the application status is verified too. Did you get that yet? It looks like that's the last thing that needs to happen for them to view our application?

Ahh I am so excited to hear back already!

So I was creeping on the 2019 cohort thread and someone got an acceptance by Feb 25th for the Wall Campus (https://allnurses.com/profile/1108791-daniellecheech/).

I REALLY hope we hear back by the end of the month. But I'll assume April just to be safe.

Anyone know if they email us with a decision or if they post it on NursingCAS.

I know I have a lot of questions!

@otgd8I believe Verified is the final step also. I was stalking previous threads too and saw end of February for acceptances. I believe they email you from NJCU. I can't imagine we wouldn't hear till april when the Wall program begins in May. That wouldn't be enough notice. I would expect sometime in March, but hope for February ?

@otgd8 yes, I got the same email my application was verified. It sounds about right that NJCU just needs to review our application. I know, I was doing the same thing. I saw someone was accepted by end of February! Hopefully we will hear back sooner rather than later!

@Fitzy31 @MegNoons Glad to see I am not the only one creeping on old threads! Yea I was thinking the latest they would respond would be April but then I was like that is way too late to get all the financial aid stuff in order. So now I am thinking the latest they would respond to us would be the second week of March.

answered lots of common questions for the program in great detail since she was in the 2018 cohort. She is very informative.

@Fitzy31I also applied to the Wall cohort for 2020! I read a three from last year and it looks like acceptance letters went out around Feb 21st, hoping it’s the same for us! I’m anxious and nervous!

@Rachaelauren18 I am super nervous too. I am hoping they respond this month for us. I have psyched myself out by reading the stats of people that have previously applied and if they got accepted or not. ? I seriously don't know why I have tortured myself lol.

Hey guys! I've been watching this thread for awhile as well as the older ones and thought I'd finally comment?. I applied to the Wall campus and my application was verified last week. I hope we hear from them soon

@otgd8 I do the same thing! It’s definitely not healthy! I’m completely switching careers so my undergrad degree / experience doesn’t have much relevance, which makes me even more nervous. I haven’t seen many stats for the wall campus only JC which I believe receives a lot more applicants.

@nursingjewel Welcome! Nice to see another Wall applicant. What made you want to apply there instead of the JC campus?

@Rachaelauren18 I feel like there are quite a bit of Wall applicants on this thread! I agree with not having seen any stats for Wall applicants in the previous threads. I wonder if it is more or less competitive? Considering there are not comparably as many applicants I would assume at Wall?
