Hi everyone - I am considering applying for the Jersey City NJCU ABSN program starting in 2020. Has anyone submitted their application?

@Rachaelauren18 I feel like there are quite a bit of Wall applicants on this thread! I agree with not having seen any stats for Wall applicants in the previous threads. I wonder if it is more or less competitive? Considering there are not comparably as many applicants I would assume at Wall?

@otgd8 The Wall campus is a lot closer to me than JC, plus I like the smaller cohort size

@otgd8 I’m not sure! They accept less into the program but I feel like the population of people applying would be larger at the JC campus. Who knows! We shall wait and see.

@Tsal It took about 2-3 days IIRC.

@nursingjewel I like the smaller cohort size too. I did my undergraduate degree at RU and the classes were insanely big. I hated it lol.

My JC campus transcript was just verified ? The email stated that they would calculate GPA but to give it an hour. I cannot seem to find anywhere on NursingCAS that has my GPA calculated.... Anyone able to see theirs? I know my GPA's from my undergrad and prerequisites but dont know how they weigh when averaged together since my undergrad was 5x the amount of credits.

I submitted my application for the Wall campus on 1/31 - my fingers are crossed! Best of luck to everyone!

@Tsal Based on what I've seen, the cumulative GPA is stated on the application itself viewed through the "Download Program Application" feature under the "Submit Application" tab. I found mine at the end of the transcript page! I hope this helps!

Does anyone know if the transcripts need to say "verified" under the status section? Both my transcripts just say arrived in red. What about yours?

@otgd8 Thank you! Let's hope for the best! My transcripts also say "arrived" in red, but my application status is "Verified". I don't think they need to be marked verified individually so you should be good as long as you receive the notification stating your coursework has been verified against your transcripts. I hope this helps!

I received an e-mail from NJCU that applications are currently being reviewed and should know in about 3 weeks time. Again, applied to the Wall Campus. Can’t say the same for Jersey City.

So guys I just received an email from NJCU stating that my application is now complete and being reviewed by the admissions committee. It said that the decisions will be finalized in about 3 weeks and the decision will come via a NursingCAS email.

I received the same email in regards to my Wall application. It's going to be a long 3 weeks!?
