Hi everyone - I am considering applying for the Jersey City NJCU ABSN program starting in 2020. Has anyone submitted their application?

I found this to be super vague. Technically the governor closed the schools but they are still open and running virtually. I feel like NJCU just wants to wait a little longer before they make the Wall cohort virtual to see if everything will blow over by mid April. It is super unlikely they will cancel or delay the start of an entire cohort.
Good Afternoon!
I was accepted to the Wall cohort and super excited to share this journey with you! I only got a text, that our semester has taken an unexpected turn... I just set up my NJCU email, and don't see any details. Was there an email sent to our NJCU accounts or personal accounts?

Hi! We got an email to our personal emails yesterday. I think someone said it went to their junk mail so maybe check there too!

Hey Kate, yes they sent an email out. Just check your junk mail it's possible it might have went there.
Just sharing any/all correspondence for my fellow JC campus applicants. Received this email today:
Dear Applicant,
Your application is currently being reviewed. Due to the unexpected global crisis, the admission decisions will be delayed. An approximate date decisions will be finalized is unavailable at this time. Please refrain from emailing and/or contacting the office by phone to determine the status of your application. All applicants will receive an admission decision notice through NursingCAS email correspondence immediately following the final selection.
If there are any questions regarding your application, you will receive an email via NursingCAS correspondence.
Thank you again for your continued patience during this time of uncertainty.
Stay safe, and good luck,
Nursing Department Admission Committee"
Hey everyone! I'm just checking in with my fellow Wall students- no one has gotten any info on the virtual orientation, right? I've been checking both my regular and NJCU email but just wondering bc its supposed to be coming up shortly.. although I felt like it wasn't really clear in the email when it was switched to virtual if it would still be 4/3 or not.
@Mengler I haven't received anymore info than you. I took the last email to mean that we would still have the orientation online on the same date 4/3, but I could be wrong- who knows at this point. I'm planning on tuning in on Friday though and I'm hoping the faculty will have more info on start date then.
Just got this email for the Wall cohort:
"Please be advised, the New Student Orientation has been cancelled until further notice. Unfortunately, the pandemic has affected everyone, both personally and professionally. Nursing administration are doing their best to push forward, however, due to the nature of this program, the clinical requirements cannot be fully supported through a virtual platform. With that being said, all efforts at this time have been committed to accommodating the current study body that is just a few weeks shy of graduation. While the urgent need for valid information to plan for the future is understood, the global crisis has interfered with our ability to provide any information that is not subject to change. Globally we are at a stand-still until the circumstances subside.
In the interim, I will be in touch with updates as they become available. Relevant forms and links will be sent for your review in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued patience during these uncertain times."

@nursingjewel I received the same last night, and then a copy of the handbook this morning. I am struggling because I need to give my current job notice and if the program is going to end up getting delayed, I don't want to do that just yet. Trying to figure out the best course of action with the information available which isn't much :(
