Hello! I'm really excited to start my ABSN program in Nightingale College this fall. I have an AS degree in another allied health field but have always felt like nursing was calling to me....and so here I go! Anyone else starting this fall 2020 or has anyone graduated from Nightingale's ABSN program and wouldn't mind sharing some of their experience? I've done a number of searches but can't seem to find a whole lot of anything on them.... 0 Likes
Slamp, CNA May 28, 2020 I’m also starting with Nightingale College in the Fall 2020 but in the BSN program with clinicals in Colorado Springs. This will be my second bachelors degree. Best of luck to you. 0 Likes
meanmaryjean, DNP, RN Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia. Has 40 years experience. May 28, 2020 Abysmal NCLEX pass rates AND not regionally accredited- you might want to reconsider. 0 Likes
Marie A Fuller-Zurenda May 28, 2020 They are actually acen and ccne accredited. Their NCLEX pass rates aren’t the best, that’s true, but I also think it’s what you make it. :) 0 Likes

May 28, 2020 ACEN and CCNE are not regional accreditation.Lack of regional accreditation means many other schools are unlikely to accept transfer credits earned at Nightingale OR may deny grads for further studies. And a school that cannot muster a decent NCLEX pass rate handcuffs students no matter how hard they try to 'make it'. 0 Likes
Slamp, CNA May 29, 2020 So the NCLEX pass rate for ADN is low but their BSN program is 100% and that is the program I am going for so I'm not to concerned and as far as regional or national most schools have other school agreements to take their credits so if I choose to go further then I would either continue with them or find a partner school. I am choosing Nightingale because it fits my families schedule with being a military family. Marie are you considering applying with Nightingale? 2 Likes
Marie A Fuller-Zurenda May 29, 2020 Thank you for that response! :) Yes, I have already been accepted and starting this fall. It certainly fits my needs and my family’s schedule plus they’re so very helpful when you need something or have questions. I’m going for the absn program though. Good luck!! :) where will you be going? 0 Likes

I will be using the DDC in Colorado Springs, but doing the new distance learning program so I will go to the DDC for 2 weeks out of every semester instead of every week as I am currently in Albuquerque NM being of Military. 0 Likes

Nurse_Dez, CNA, LVN Specializes in Correctional/Psych nursing. Sep 5, 2020 Hi! I'm in the process of enrolling for the 2021 Spring semester for the BSN program. Did they give you guys a schedule already for the clinical site? I'm in California and was told I could be sent to any of their clinical sites depending on space but that they would try to get me sites as close to home as possible. Traveling doesn't really bother me, I just want to know where I'll be flying to waaay in advance so that I can plan for it. 2 Likes
