grrrh.. i just called NYBON and they said i am eligible to take the test (and i did not receive my eligibility letter - maybe it got lost).. i told the person that i did not receive the letter and he kindly told me that it was ok if i did not receive my letter and i can register with pearsonvue. so i did register for my nclex exam right away and after registering, i called NYBON again for the ATT.. the person said that i will receive it in 1-2 days.
what's next?
what will i do after i receive my att?
m planning to take my exam in taiwan..
and i only paid $200. when do i pay $150 more?

When you register with pearsonvue they will send your ATT once they confirm that you have eligibility. When you ring will to book your exam date they will charge $350. You may have paid the BON $200 but pearsonvue will not ask until you ring to arrange date for their money
u mean $350 not including the $200 i paid?
i needed to pay $200 when i was registering at pearson vue
and to schedule for the test, i need to call.. hmm ok.
i verified with NYBON and they know that i registered with pearsonvue.

If you have already paid pearsonvue $200 when you ring to book your exam date they will then ask for a further $150. You can only book online dates if in the US for outside the US you have to ring and book your date once you have seen the schedule

Just out of curiosity, may I know why you prefer to take NCLEX in Taiwan than have it taken in the Philippines or HK ?
You also mention to having slight problems with your name written on your Korean Passport and what was written on your registration with your licensure application. If you are currently already in any of the countries mentioned, I would pay a visit to the test center and ask if there would be any problems with the slight error in spacing on your name esp. if you plan to take the exam in Taiwan. Sometimes, simple things gets out of hand when the parties can't communicate properly. And I would not ask just the day before the exam or the day of the exam itself to make sure I will have the time to correct any thing. If the administrator or the one in-charge for admission in the test center says there is no problem, then there is no problem but what if there was and this was the day before or the day of the exam itself. There would be no way of correcting it anymore and the total $350 for the exam plus the accommodations and airfare would be wasted. Pearson-Vue does not give refunds for any thing canceled for whatever reason it may be less than 24 hours of the appointment.
i called the Korean embassy and they would give me a certificate indicating that "wai kiki" and "waikiki" refers to the same person. because the new rule in korean passport is that u should not put spacings. so i followed the rule not placing any space.
i called korean embassy and they said they will make a certification that "wai kiki" and "waikiki" refers to the same person. there was a new rule in passport that there should be no space in the names. that was the proper way to do it. so we followed it. korean embassy said that it is not a problem but they will issue me a certificate.
thank you for all the reply

Be aware that Taiwan requires a visa to visit there and it is not always that easy for one to get any longer. Before you make plans for there to test, make sure that you will be able to get a visa for that country.

Can I just ask how long it took for you to receive your eligibility from the time that you mailed in your requirements?
helo sandtiger,
