Hi everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has applied to Newman for the 2023 start date out there. Has anyone heard back about interviews yet?

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I can imagine they have a lot to sort through especially near the end of the application cycle.

Oh good to know!

I had all the green checks before the deadline but yeah, I didn't get any confirmation or anything beyond a receipt for application fee payment.

OK same ^ well sounds like we are all in the same boat so that is good

Does anyone know whether the interviews will be zoom vs. in person, or a mix of both based on distance? It seems like Newman has a heavily Midwest applicant pool but I live quite far away, LOL

I feel like reading through some of these other forums it's a mix for schools on how they are choosing to do them. I have not heard which it will be for Newman though. I've been wondering that myself lately

This is making me feel so much better! I found it strange there was no confirmation email other than payment receipt.

The only forums I’ve been able to find about Newman were a couple years ago.  The interviews seemed to be in person from what I gathered.
I have also read that the interviews were mainly clinical based questions rather than mindfulness based.
(take all of this with a grain of salt, I know nothing)
The information on the website might be a little outdated?

I agree with all you have said, that's what I have gathered from previous posts as well. I don't know if things have changed much but would rather be prepared for clinical-based questions than not that's for sure! There are not as many forums on Newman to use as references, but I feel they may be a good guide.

Hey all. I’ve applied as well. Anxiously awaiting a response.

I would love it if a current Newman student would pop on here and discuss the different clinical site situation. I wonder if there are disadvantages or subpar experiences for students who end up at the clinical sites in Oklahoma vs. staying in Wichita?

Good luck you applying this cycle! I'm rooting for you all!

It would be cool to have some insight I agree!

Good luck everyone. Has anyone heard anything about when they might notify their decisions for interviews?

no but I hate that every time someone posts on here I get an email with the subject line "Newman University CRNA 2023." I practically get a run of SVT from the anxiety before I realize it's just from one of you xxx on allnurses LOL
