Hello everyone!! I am new to this...I am sooo excited I got accepted into Bristol plymouth part time LPN program starting this Sept 09!:yeah:...Anyone else attending BP??

Do they participate in the pell grant? I thought they had but now I'm starting to wonder if they do.

Thanks Erica, good luck to you and congrats on almost getting through 1 year so far, good for you. How is it? Any words of advice for us?

Sheryl they dont!! that is the only thing thats kind of discouraging but in the long run when you are done it will all be worth it!!! My advice is to just studyy studyy studyy ur butt off :) I love the teachers they are great and are willing to help you so if this is what you want and you put your all to it there is no reason not to succeed! :) I of course still have a year and 2 months and I keep telling myself the sameee thing ! GOODLUCK :redpinkhe

Hay erica I'm going to sound like a big nerd now but you the teachers let you record the classes? Some of the girls I work with said that helped so much and recommended getting a recorder but they also said some professor didn't allow them too. None of them went to Bp though.

Hi all does anyone know what time orientation finishes on tuesday ? I'm scheduled to work that afternoon at 4 but I'm starting to think I should try and swap my shift just incase it runs all day.

I got mine too, do you know how many shirts etc we are supposed to order? Also do we have to wear the uniform to school or is it only for clinicals?

I am going to call my Dr. this week to make an appt. for a physical in June sometime so I'll be all set once we find out what we need. Amazingly my mom found my immunization record from when I was little, I didn't think I had that. I'm not sure if it is complete or not, but at least it's a start. Do you have yours?

sheryl, where were you sitting yesterday?

I was on the right side, 3rd row from the front and in the second row from the right. Where were you? I can't believe how much money I'm spending on all of this, the stethoscope the lab kit, shoes, scrubs and all the books, plus tuition, yikes it's costing much more than I thought. But it will be worth it! Have you searched online for the books online? I found Amazon to be cheaper on most and has free shipping, I haven't ordered them yet though because I'm hoping to buy some of them used from the graduating students.

I was in the very back left hand corner. I kinda wish I had of sat near the front now. I don't want to miss out on anything. I didn't buy the steth yet. I wish I had of know that we didn't need to wear uniform to classes. I probably wouldn't have ordered as many. I took a look at that website and my husband freaked. I neglected to tell him that books weren't included in the tuition. Lol. I have a few girls I work with who are graduating this week so I'm going to wait and see how many I can get from them. I'm getting nervous now about the study and working balance lynn was talking about. Really have to apply myself.

Hey guys :) I'm going to be applying this October for the September 2011 LPN Program at BP. Can anyone give me any insight into the interview process and the Pre-entrance examination. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you

P.S If I could get a list of the books we will need so I can look them over plus get a range on the costs of books for the program.

Hey, I am attending the program at BP starting this sept 2010. We were just given the student handbook and i would suggest asking for a copy from the school itself (60 pages). It is chock full of answers for you. I wish I had asked for one last year!! Course descriptions, book lists, costs etc. etc.(be careful of the books though, because they change all the time) As for the pre entrance exam,i think there are practice quests (TEAS) but i cant remember for sure, the office can give you a better answer. after you take the exam if you score well then you get to interview with the director. Best of luck!;)

Erika I'm interested in the night program as well. How intense is the part time night program. Is it really that difficult? What are your thoughts.
