Published

Hello everyone!! I am new to this...I am sooo excited I got accepted into Bristol plymouth part time LPN program starting this Sept 09!:yeah:...Anyone else attending BP??

Specializes in CNA, MA.

Great!! Thats good! Now I believe it took about 3 weeks or so it felt like forever but just hang in there!!!! LOL I know because Iwas going nuts I wish you the best and I hope you get in :)

Misty, how long was your interview? I have mine next week. Do you remember any questions that she asked you?

Thanks and good luck, hopefully we'll both be going to school together!!!

hey sheryl. There was a group interview with 5 of us first and she pretty much just talked about the tuition and answered any questions we had and than she had us one on one. I wouldn't really call it an interview, she basicially goes over your application with you and and makes sure you have everything on file for the admin people. She's really nice and the whole thing was very relaxed. You have to write and essay though while you wait for the one on one. Good luck.

Hi lady`s,

It looks like we may be classmates in September. I will be going to the 2009-10 BP full time day program.

Just wanted to say congrats and cant wait to meet everyone. I work at one of the clinical sites so I have interacted

with the students from this year all year long. It is a VERY intense program and right about now, because it is

getting so close to the end, they are feeling the heat. Makes me nervous but they seem to all help each other through. Cant wait to meet everybody, and good luck to those still waiting to hear.....

Congratulations! I guess we'll meet at orientation in May, does anyone know what date it is yet? I'm taking courses at BCC right now and they end in the middle of May so I hope orientation is toward the end of May or at least not at the same time I have school.

I've heard it will be very intense and basically you will have no life for a year, it's only school and studying and not much time left over. It will be hard that's for sure. Will you keep working when school starts? Thankfully I won't be working but I do have 3 kids so it will be an adjustment here at home that's for sure.

Hi,

I work 32hours a week now but will give up my position in september and go per diem, I will work no more than 16 hrs a week. I have been told that for most people, if you do any more than that you might as well forget it. I also have 3 kids so I here ya about the adjustments that will have to be made. Mine are older I am gonna have to start whipping them into shape over the summer and getting them to do more for themselves (laundry) and things like that. It is going to be hard but I have waited soooo long to do this and it is a one shot deal, you either pass or fail. I have not received a date for orientation yet so I am not sure but I do think it is in May sometime. Let me know if you hear anything on orientation.

hey girls i got my orientation letter today. It's tuesday june 1st at 10am. a uniform order form came with it too.

I got mine too, do you know how many shirts etc we are supposed to order? Also do we have to wear the uniform to school or is it only for clinicals?

I am going to call my Dr. this week to make an appt. for a physical in June sometime so I'll be all set once we find out what we need. Amazingly my mom found my immunization record from when I was little, I didn't think I had that. I'm not sure if it is complete or not, but at least it's a start. Do you have yours?

hi i also got accepted into the nursin program for sep 2010, i didnt get the orientation letter yet ,a lot of student loans dont offer loan to bp any ideaswher i can search.

yea i got accepted as well, and i intend to stop working as well and i hav two kids 10month old and 27month old , so im definately gonna hav my hands full.

I called around too but bp doesn't participate in anything. not even private student loans. sallie mae and wells fargo were a no go. I'm schedule at the moment for 32 hours but I always pick up at least 2 doubles a week for the extra cash. I don't have kids so I'm working my butt off at the moment cause I'm paying cold hard cash for the program. I didn't want to put it on my credit card and there was really no other option. My bank wouldn't let me use a personal loan for "educational purposes". I had a bunch of immunizations last year for my green card so I think I'm all set with that but I might so see my doc anyway to get the all clear. Sheryl I think we have to wear the uniform to school aswell. If I remember correctly, I remember Lynn saying at the interview everyone usually orders 2 tops and 2 pants cause we will be there 5 days a week.

CONGRATS EVERYONE!!! :) I am in the night program first year almost overrr phew !!! FYI BP does not participate w any financial aid or student loans this was my issue!!! therefore your choices are charge it...pay cash..or personal loan, I had to go out and get a personal loan luckily was approved or else idk what I would of done?! Anyways goodluck again ! :)
