New York University (NYU) Accelerated Nursing Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone,

I thought I should start this thread where people can put their stats if they wish and give each other advice! Priority deadline is September 15 and regular decision deadline is October 15.

Hii everyone!
I got in today! I submitted application on September 15th, my stats were not the best. Undergrad was 3.3 in public health and this was my second time applying to the program.
My checklist never disappeared and I received an email around 2:30.
I work at WCM in research, and that is the only thing that changed since last time I applied.
I am nervous and excited, scared and happy!
Congrats to everyone who was accepted and my deepest deepest thoughts for everyone who is still waiting for decision. You will get there somehow, one day!
I only reapplied because my work bestie was applying and I had the tiniest bit of hope since I got rejected last year, but it all worked out.
Bestest of luck to all!

Congrats on getting in!! Would it be okay for you to share your stats and if you knew why you weren't accepted the first time? I am truly so happy for you!!

Is there a facebook group or anything for accepted students?

Hiii!!
I basically did not have all A’s, I have a C and B’s. I don't know the exact reason for rejection, I knew I wasn’t a competitive candidate, I assumed because of my stats and/or inexperience in healthcare field. As mentioned the only thing that changed from last application was my personal statement (I changed it completely) and the fact that I have a year in clinical research and direct patient contact. My references came from all the same people.

I spoke with someone from admissions yesterday she said decisions go out at the beginning of each week on a rolling basis until December.

Hi all! Does anyone know what the estimated tuition + fees is for the 15 months? I'm seeing 120k on previous threads but I'm getting around 107k when I use the nyu tuition calculator. It seems like an insane price to pay, especially without federal grants ?

Oh wow, it is 120k after all. I'm not sure how I'll be able to finance the tuition at this rate, which is my main worry.

Yea it’s 28k a semester. So 28k x 4 comes out to 112k. Add in various fees and it comes out to 120k.

Personally I’m relying on the GI Bill/yellow ribbon/Fed student loans which should take up the majority of the tuition.

If anyone has other ideas please post them.
