Hi everyone,
I'm going to be graduating and getting my Bachelor's in Nursing in a couple months.
I'm really interested in applying in New York Presbyterian's New Grad program.
I do not live in NY so I'm going to have to re-locate, but I am willing to do so asap.
Does anyone have information about NYP's new grad program?
I've researched their website and even called their office, all I've got was "Apply online when there is an opening" well it was pretty broad and I was just wondering if anyone knows much about it.
When do I need to apply and how? How long is it? What specialties? Is there housing and is it impacted that there's a waitlist? And if you know who to contact to get an interview. I'm willing to travel to NY to get that interview and find out all the information.
Sorry for so many questions, I really want to move there :)
Thank you!

I graduated in May and was also very interested in this program. The site said May grads apply in June, as soon as June rolls around the position is no longer posted. So I called them and spoke with a recruiter who informed me that they were not running the residency at all this summer.
Hopefully things will change for you. Just keep checking the career site, there is a specific posting that will be up if they are accepting applications at that time.

you will automatically get into the "new grad" program when you get hired for a position. what they want you to do is apply online for positions and if they want to consider you, they'll call you in for interview.

yes the best way is to apply online... they DO call...
make sure you get your job history in order.. in the last 10 years!
bring your *college diploma*.. they will ask for that!
they have alot of walk in interviews...(same day interview, as you walk in the HR department) check the website (events section) for days for walk in interviews..
also there are housing.. the farthest you live from new york, the quicker you get in.. there is a waiting list but i heard its not so bad.. of a wait..
good luck..

How do you get past the gatekeeper? The walk in interviews are apparently now by invitation only after submition of your information.
