I have an interview for the ED at NYP. I was wondering if anyone is familar with the ED. I currently work on the oncology floor in the hospital and am looking to transfer. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Specifically NYP-cornell

Kimaboogie, Did you get the job in the ED? If so, I think I was offered your position on the oncology unit? I got the call last Wed. I'm very excited. Is there anything you can tell me about the oncology unit? When I went for the interview, I loved it. It seems like a great place to work.

Sorry it took me soooooooooooooo long to respond. TigerSN u sure did get my job. I left in june of 2006. How do u like the floor so far? 10c/s/w right? The staff up there is great even though a lot of the people have left. Let me know if u have any questions.

Hey kimaboogie, I really love the 10th floor so far. I've been off of orientation for almost 3 months, and it can be intimidating at times, but I always feel challenged. The staff is great, and everyone helps each other so much, which is so important to me. I haven't gone to nights yet, but I should be going within a few months. Are you working in the ED? It's so crazy down there. I had kidney stones a few weeks ago and ended up at the ER for 8 long hours. Hope you're enjoying your new job :)
