Without a doubt in a few years the cut off will be 4.0. Who knows how they are going to deal when that happens...

    Congratulations!

BTW does anyone know what the required gpa for admission both day and evening?

I am just curious to know. A friend spoke with ****** regarding changing to days and he flipped through some pages and told her a lot of people for days had a 4.0. She only had a 3.84. Anyway, she did get in, as well as I, with a 3.91 for evening.

I am so very very happy.

    Again, Congratulations to All!
    Hi everyone,
Congratulations to those who made the Spring program! I am targeting the Fall '10 evening program and I'm taking Micro and Psy240 this Spring. I was just wondering regarding the 3.84 GPA for the evening, is that only for the Preclinical GPA or is it overall GPA? Right now, my PCN GPA is 4.0 but I can't apply until I finish Micro and Psy240. Thanks!

Professor Kilts told me that we need to wear Oxford nursing shoes for clinicals. Where do I get male Oxford shoes in nyc? I am sure you can get them online, but I would like to try them on first. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks yall!

    Hey hjohanns!

Congrats on your acceptance to the nursing program! I see you're in the morning section as well I'm glad that I saw your post on the nursing shoes and didn't buy any nursing shoes yet. I'll look around to find some Oxford brand ones. Will you be bringing your book in tomorrow?

Don't think I am going to bring my book, since we were not asked to do so. Really excited about tomorrow though. First day of classes...yummy.

    Hi DDeguzman2,

That gpa is for PCN (which is 3.77, the minimum you're suppose to get to be eligible). Your cumulative gpa should be over a 2.0 or 2.5 but please checki with the nursing coordinator, Mr.S. And every semester the gpa requirement changes depending on the applicant pool. So far, you are have excellent gpa, keep it up. I took psy 240 already on Sundays adn the professor was great. If you want to know her name, I can PM her name since we can't put it on the forum (since it's open to everyone). I am taking microbio in the summer time, though.

    Hi Jnss77!

Congrats on completing your first semester in the nursing program! I hope I'll do well in my first semester too but I am scared and excited all at once! Any advice? Which hospital did you do your clinicals in?

I have been searchin for nursing shoes and my cousin told me of this store in downtown Brooklyn. She doesn't remember the name so I just tried to find some uniform stores that sells everything and found a store on Livingston street (I think this is the one she is referring to.) Next week, I will have purchase my shoes.

Awesome! I just called up the store on Livingston St. I found out by Oxford, they mean lace-up. I thought it was a brand. HAHA. They are $70. Little pricey. But they have mens and womens shoes in stock.

Oh, that sounds wonderful! I will try and check out that store. We have a uniform store in my neighborhood in Astoria, queens but I am not sure if they have Oxford shoes- so I will ask. I can't believe school is tomorrow!

Oh! Haha so they aren't a brand, good to know!
