New York Methodist Hospital - Salary for new RN

Published

Just curious on what is the base salary for New York Methodist Hospital would be for a new RN.

It's about 87k. If you interview, HR gives you all of that information right away

I must be missing something because I interviewed there recently. The starting salary for newly grads with a BSN is 76K - this is what I was told by the HR Rep that interviewed me…

Yeah, it's about $43/hour for new grads on nights. I think the base was $39 before differentials.

Ok… I am scheduled to work on nights and meet with HR Rep to finalize paper work, so I will explore further… my understanding is that base salary is 76k w/BSN and night differential is about 5k, which is a total of 81K, not 87K as you proposed… unless I am missing something…

Have you begun working there? I looked into them, the " no non-hospital RN need apply" applied.

any other avenues into NYH? JON

I am newly grad RN with a BSN... they were hiring new grads just a few weeks ago, so I don't know what happen... you could try volunteering there just to get your foot in the door... with regards to salary, it remain unclear and as mentioned, I meet with them next week to finalize everything...

Just keep applying over and over again, they seem to have an endless supply of new grads coming in...
