Hey everyone,
I just found out this past week using quick results that I passed the NCLEX and I was wondering if anyone who recently passed in NY could mention how long it takes to get your license number posted online or if you get an email how long it would take to get? Thanks!
Hello,
I have been searching through and looking up for answers as I have been dealing with same issues after passing NCLEX last FEB.
It has been an emotional roller coaster, passing NCLEX and waiting for NY license. Initially I was checking the NY site waiting for my license number to pop up. I am a FL resident and attended school in FL for over 2 years due to the pandemic, I thought I have nothing to worry about, my education is legit.
Now after 2 months with ZERO communication from NY BON , I started to call the Board and got answers that everything is there you just need to wait for your application to be reviewed.
Last call they told me to send in my transcripts, I did, still nothing.
Is that how a Professional is treated? Not even sending an email response?
I am beyond frustration, I have worked soooo hard for my RN degree and that is how this story ends because of other people mistakes?
I understand some others are in the same situation and really frustrates me to know that I might need to sit for NCLEX again in order to get a license in FL. I am emotionally drained in order to take NCLEX again , lost my confidence and have zero motivation to sit and do a refresh study.
Is there anyone that can assist us with this? Anyone that can listen to us and make a simple task to see which school in being investigate and which one is not and end with this limbo that some of us are going through?
I have never heard of someone who passed NCLEX having to do it again. Please share your experience and if that is the case, if you had to take NCLEX again, share with us.
Because if that would be the case, I need to get a therapist and sit and reviewed NCLEX again.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and advices.
I went to school in South Miami, rather not name it here for obviously reasons, if it matters and you went to school in South Miami too, please send me a private message and we can gather forces. Did you friend got his license recently because apparently after April 19th some conditions have changed and they are only issuing license for accredited schools and mine is APPROVED not accredited.
That brings peace to my heart.
So maybe there is light in the end of the Tunnel.
I know that I did everything legit, went to school, studied soo hard, passes my HESI invested my family time, money, emotions on it. Just a bad timming.
Do you know how hard it is to explained to your kids that you passed your classes and test and you still cant work as a nurse, because some people tried to take a short cut?
Sorry I am venting here, I cant really afford therapy at the moment...

Hello, I hope all is well. Did you finally hear back from the BON? Did you receive your license?

Also if school is listed on this website https://mqa-internet.doh.state.fl.us/MQASearchServices/NursingPrograms as just being approved( only good in florida) or on probation is being held for further review
in either cases there is no official time frame of how long these reviews will take place
NYBON is absolutely no help when you call. You wait two hours in line only to be rushed off in under 2 mins. No one knows When the investigation started or when it will end (so they say). You're simply told that its "an internal investigation, and your school is under review." How long have you been waiting?
