I'm seriously considering having this done. Seems to be much less risky than gastric bypass. Hoping to get some input from my "family" here...

Hello Everyone!!

I have been researching this procedure since the beginning of the year LasVegas RN. You do not look like you need the procedure at all. I have decided to have it done as soon as I can raise the funds. I do not think that my insurance will cover it:rolleyes: Oh well. So, I am going to go to Mexico....I know, a little scary at first but after my research, they have done alot more bands than anyone here in the US. If anyone wants to find out about people's experiences with the band, you can go to http://www.thebandsters.com. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and I feel that this tool can help me. Just my opinions.

Hi Las Vegas Rn,

I want to know if you had the gastric banding and what you think in hindsight? I too am an overweight Rn who is considering the gastric lap banding and would love to hear from others who have been through this procedure. Thanks, Ro Ro , MS Rn
