Hi everyone!
I am starting the UALR nursing program in the fall of '06. Just wondered if there were any more of us out there?
Also, would like to hear from senior students and recent grads. My friends and I are excited and nervous all at the same time! Any advice, tips, words of encouragement you could offer would mean a lot to me, and many others as well!
Hi everyone, I'll be applying to UALR this month. I was a student at UAMS in 2000 and had to leave due to a car wreck. I've decided to go back to nursing school and have chosen UALR to do so. Just curious as to how you guys are doing and what your impression of UALR is.
Thanks and hope you're having a great year!

so far, so good, KravGirl. I don't have anything to compare UALR to as far as nursing school experiences go, but I don't have any real complaints. Good luck!
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! :-)

My impression:
I graduated from there in May. I totally feel like I couldn't have been better prepared. I work with several new grads from UAMS, Harding, UAM ,
U of A, Baptist, and UCA (all seem to be great schools, by the way) and my skills/knowledge level was very up to par.
What type of accelerated program do they have? Their web site doesn't seem to have much info on it. Is there an accelerated program for someone without a medical background? Thanks for the info.
Their accelerated program is 1yr and 6months Associate degree. You do not have to have a medical background. The option to go this route is on their application. You just check the box if you want to go this route or traditional route. Feel free to ask me anymore questions.

Thanks for letting us know! I haven't had a chance to look at the syllabi yet.
