Hi everyone!
I am starting the UALR nursing program in the fall of '06. Just wondered if there were any more of us out there?
Also, would like to hear from senior students and recent grads. My friends and I are excited and nervous all at the same time! Any advice, tips, words of encouragement you could offer would mean a lot to me, and many others as well!
I also figured that parking would be better than ualr. I was wondering one class we had to sign up for all of them were on ualr campus but it says something about mandantory meetings once a month. I wonder if that is the only time we have to go to that class and maybe the rest is web based. I got my uniform already and am quite excited i hope the excitement lasts through the first semester at least.
I hear ya! I went out and bought uniforms as soon as I left orientation that day, but I'm a dork like that! :-)
I don't know about that oddball on campus class. But, honestly, I didn't even consider the St. Vincent's option until the last minute. I don't remember reading about monthly meetings. Maybe I should go back and reread the handbook! LOL
Does anyone have any experience in the accellerated program?
The thing about monthly meetings wasnt in the handbook it was on the website when you registered for the class under it it says something about mandantory meetings on ... and has the dates. I emailed the women today on the st. vincent scholarship cause i hadnt heard anything and she said i would get a call in July for a interview in case you applied and were wondering it will be next month. Im itching to know how things work and what to expect but dont know anyone who has been there.
Hello. I am starting nursing school at UALR in the fall, too. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the clinicals for the first few weeks of school. I signed up for one at the VA, so I know that it will be at UALR, but does anyone know what time they start? Do they start at 7 in the morning, just like we were going to the hospital? Also, does anyone know if we are supposed to wear our uniforn during these simualted labs? Thanks!
Hey. I bought the syllabus the other day and the first page tells us exactly what to do. We don't have to wear our uniforms. And I am pretty sure that we are supposed to show up a 7:00 am. I also bought the meds publishing computer program. I just set it up, but I am not sure if this is just to use as practice or if we are graded on it. Talk to you guys later!!
