Welcome to you and best of luck in school. You found a great board to "sound off" on and a very knowledgeable group to work with. I wish you the best!

I APPRECIATE THAT. I HAVE READ YOUR FORUM FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS AND JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST TODAY. SLOW LEARNER I GUESS

Welcome HISSYTHECAT,

I too am new to the board and will start school in about a month to get my BSN. One thing you might want to consider when posting is to turn off your CAPS LOCK. This is usually indication that you are SHOUTING!!. Take care and enjoy the board.

Does it help to have a medical background for RN? I am scared. I attended a college last fall. I had 21 credits plus clinicals. This was for radiology. I had class from 8-5 Monday, Wedn, and Friday, and clinicals from 730-400 Tuesday and Thursday. I am afraid to go back to school. I am afraid of failing out again. help me:o

Hissy...you don't need any help! You have us to sound off too, but you will do fine. Granted it is hard work, but it is all worth it. Whatever you do you are going to have to master the speedbumps life lays in front of you, as you have so many times before. Good luck.:D

Welcome Hissycat! Congrats on being in school right now! :balloons: :nurse:

I'm also new... a little bit of a different capacity. I just took work as a traveling nurse recruiter and have some questions for advice/ additional knowledge: 1. How is the job market for nursing right now? Are many nurses looking for temporary, traveling assignments? 2. What types of nurses are best fit for this type of work (i.e. age, experienced, etc.)? What do y'all think?

Welcome to our beloved allnurses.com! You may have noticed that we have a student nursing forum, which I'm sure can give you much valuable advice on nursing school. Feel free to post questions to the rest of us as well! Good luck.

I too am a Medical Assistant and just started college for my BSN

I'm taking my first class in Human Development. I'm also 41 years

old and wonder if I was too old to go back. But good luck you can do it.
