Hey fellow nurses! I just got a new job as a substitute school nurse and I was wondering are the schools more willing to pull from the substitute pool to fill permanent positions in the district once you've been there a while? THANK YOU!

Welcome!!! Yes, I think it adds a lot of credibility to your application. Take any and all substitute positions you can. The hands on experience will help you with specific questions during the interview process. Good luck!!!

Also see if they are willing to train you over the summer for the hearing/vision/scoliosis screening that's probably required in the district...
