Hi, I just registered to this site and I'm looking forward to gaining all the advice i can about the facinating world of Nursing! If anyone can give me some advice on short cuts throughout the site that would be awsome! I'm currently a student nurse at the Cleveland-Clinic onsite nursing program. If anyone has any advice on how to get over or through Test Taking Anxiety please let me know! Thank you!:)

Welcome to the site!

I'm not a person with test taking anxiety, so I really don't know what advice I can offer. I know some students who have doctor documented test anxiety go through Student Services to have accomocations made. I've also talked to students who say sitting at the very front of the class for tests helps their anxiety because then they aren't watching students get up and leave.

I havn't been here long, so I havn't completely found my way around here yet either. But there are plenty of people to help out. XD

You will find lots of information here!!!

No info on test anxiety, but I love Casi's idea of sitting in the front!!! I think that bothers me too when I see people get up and leave, but I do think I've gotten better about not letting it get to me so much...

Look through the site...you'll figure it out! All the tabs on the top of the page go somewhere. Students will list all the boards for Nursing students, whether it be pre-nursing or nursing or CNA...it's all there.

Region will have USA and then individual states so you can maybe find others from your school. Under my account is where you can go to change things in your profile or check your private messages (if you ever get any).

hi, kiddo, from a former clevelander and alumnus of csu. for test taking information, check out the what is on the sticky thread in this forum:

https://allnurses.com/forums/f50/looking-test-taking-stratagies-224581.html - looking for test taking strategies. this website has advice on dealing with test taking anxiety: http://www.ulc.psu.edu/studyskills/test_taking.html

for help with navigating around allnurses, click on the down arrow next to "site help" on the tool bar above and explore what is contained within those links. half the fun is in the exploration!

I have not been around long either, but I can tell you that this site is absolutely addicting! Just do some poking around. :typing I've come across some great older threads by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page that take you to "similar" topics. For some fun reading search for ghost stories or difficult patients or families. :chuckle:eek::no: I can't say enough positive about the help I have found regarding care plans. There is a sticky and I use it often. I have also posted questions and have received wonderful and honest feedback. Enjoy! :yeah:
