I've heard there is a new site in Queens, New York for us New York City people. Just found out today, how long has this site been in operation. If anyone has any information please let me know, I want to apply to this site. It's about thirty minutes away from me by car. This would be ideal!!!!

That's great, better me! But do NOT get excited too quickly - the sites can take awhile to get up and running. Just because they have permission to use whichever hospital does NOT mean they have CE's yet.
I've heard they've started scheduling for that site....don't tell me I'm wrong.
I don't know.
It's fabulous news, though. But Albany isn't bad. Metro North straight from Penn.

I know a few people on The EPN who are scheduled to go in the next few weeks. They are definetly scheduling people but I don't think anyone has gone yet that can tell you about their experience. Go on the EPN or call EC. Have you taken your last two test?

There is also a new site in Texas at Lubbock. I am scheduled on Feb 6,7,8. I have not heard of anyone else who has tested or is testing there. I guess I am in the first group...I don't know if that is good or bad.
Yes, I'm done NC Girl. Swifty, how long did it take you to get a date?
I applied to Mpac orginally June 4th. Waited till Aug 1st and switched to NPAC and got a date immdiately. So I think you should get a date in about 3 months if you put yourself on the cancellation list. It will take you that long to prepare without killing yourself. Congratulations on your hard work! I know I saw on the EPN that they were trying to recruit people to go to that Queens site. That would be great for you since you don't live that far.
Well, I better get on it... I was thinking that I'd take Info Lit, Micro and A&P while I wait for my CPNE date. Now, since this new site has opened in New York I may have to study for CPNE now and take those later. NC girl any advice? Also, what do you have left to do? I'm so proud of you, you've done great!!!
My application was accepted on Nov.3. I called everyday and on Jan 6 the scheduler told me they had a new site (Lubbock) and had a few dates in Feb if I wanted one, so I chose Feb 6-8. At first she said she had to go down the waiting list, then put me on hold (I said a short prayer) and came back and said her supervisor said since I called and I was ready give me a date. Truly prayer works:)
I am DONE! I am patiently waiting for EC to send my transcripts to the NCBON. I was told it will be this comming week. So I think by the first week of February, I should have my ATT. Whoopy!!!!!!!!

During my CPNE at the beginning of Jan 09, I had a CE who was orientating another CE during one of my PCS's and it turns out she was training for a Queens location. So, I don't know if it's running yet but I do know they people are in training.
