I am an international educated RN. just got my licence from CNO last December. but I am pregnant now.
I didn't work in the past three and half years and don't have any canadian experience even internship opportunity. now,no matter how I polish my resume just nobody even give me a call:(
I am afraid if I still cannot find a job before the end of this year, CNO won't let me renew my license! what can I do? I ever think of working as a PSW first to earn some experience, but I always feel tired and hungry because of pregnancy and PSW seems more tiring than RN.
please give me some advice! I appreciate all your help!
should international educated nurse post a topic here? or should I post it somewhere else? I feel there are not many IE nurse her

There are a few of us that post here and if it is in regards to actually asking for help because you are already in Canada then it is fine to post questions here. We just ask that questions are posted in the International forum if it is in regards to actually registering and meeting College requirements or immigration
thank you! ALthough I have registered with CNO, I am going to lose it I am afraid

Practice hours are a requirement to maintain a practice permit.
Looks like you may face the refresher course after you deliver and decide to return to work.
if the refresher course has internship opportunity, that would be great. does any one know where to take those courses? thank you!

ask CNO why
You need to work a specified number of hours in a set number of years. No paid employment over this time results in no issuance of practice permit
It's the same all across Canada.
