Hi!
I am new to this site and I heard that this website is really a big help for nurses all over the world.
I would like to ask something from you guys. I recently passed the IELTS Academic here in the Philippines and I am dreaming to work in the UK. I have registered with the NMC and passed the online eligibility assessment for me to sit the test of competence with Pearson Vue. However, as this NMC protocol is new, I am not able to find any resource materials on what questions will be asked in the said test. The only thing that NMC provided was a list of websites to visit that are possible exam topics.
Now since as everyone here is aware that being a nurse is very tedious, I believe I cannot condense all the information from the different websites provided by the NMC. Is there anyone here who have sat the NMC Test of Competence? If so, can you please help me with what resources to read and what possible questions can come out during the exam?
I am planning to take the exam here in the Philippines by next month. Please help me guys!

Hey Samuelantony07
There is a book that is really helpful. "The Royal Marsden Hospital Manual for Clinical Nursing procedures." You can purchase it online or read the ebook available. You need to focus on the code and NMC standards, too.

So I took the test again earlier at MISNet and I wasn't planning on checking my PV account for the result till Wednesday when I go back to Panay, dejected again. But then, it seems God has other plans and I received NMC's congratulations email two hours after finishing the test. \o/What I can say this time is that NMC sure works fast about revising the test. I encountered no question from the Royal Marsden manual this time. I did get around 10 items worth of drug calculations (which means 10 free points to the essential questions), social media situations, SCIE safeguarding questions taken from the quiz on their site, and a couple of items were copied from an NCLEX leadership and management sample test I was studying, oddly enough. Maybe I'll pay ASC a visit tomorrow for advice on go how to transfer my papers from when I was still in the old scheme.
