new lpn salary

Published

does anybody know how much the starting lpn should be making an hour fresh out of school?

Hello, from my understanding as others mentioned this will vary widely espeicially depending on the market and your location. My friends who are in Indiana, Ohio & Kentucky have said they make $18.50 - $28 (I think $28 is rare for this part of the country). The majority seem to come in at around $20/hour once you factor in shift diffs etc.

Hope this helps.

Seems that the top states for lpn salary are in the northeast. States such as MA, CT, RI, Washington DC (not a state, but high salary area), and NJ.

These are also high cost of living areas which is part of the reason.
