I just passed my Nclex last week. It takes 2-3 weeks to get my license. I don't have that much time. I need to find a job ASAP. Any LPN in New Jersey knows any employers that will hire a recently Board passer if he/she can provide a proof of passing the Nclex?

i'm sad....passed the lpn nclex 2 weeks ago..called the board of nursing yesterday for my license number.they told me my fingerprints have expired.it expires every 6months..so i paid $25.30 for them to resubmit my form..they said it will take 20-25 business days to be processed.therefore i won't be getting my license number yet...how can i apply for jobs if i can't provide a license number -=(( .. .. I was hoping I would be able to work by next week if someone hires me. blahh..anyone from new jersey knows a place that will hire me if i show a proof that i passed the nclex??

hey..i live around essex county new jersey..you know any place that will hire me if i can provide proof that i passed??? my license will take like 3 weeks to come since my fingerprints expired..thanks so much for reading..sorry if i cant reply to your private message..u can still message me but i cant reply. -=(

Did you do your LPN programme in NJ. If so where did you do. As in my case I am a foreign nurse and I want to know if I can challenge the LPN NCLEX without doing the LPN course here.

I got hired today as a LPN.. I start orientation next week. I'm really nervous about the first day of job on the floor..Any new LPNs were nervous too? What did you all do to prepare for this? Did you reread your fundamental/basic book about meds, trache care, etc? I want to know..Help me please..What do I need to do during my training for 5weeks??? Please give me tips. Just observe observe in orientation. They will show you all the paperwork, get to know the charts, patients, etc. Your not expected to know EVERYTHING, since you just graduated. Bring a pad and pen and note things down. When i started i just went over procedures and med administration in my book. but seems everything is so different hands on. just absorb everything around you!! i noticed though alot of the nurses take shortcuts...dont pick up any bad habits. i was told once you start on your own you will find your own routine.

Hi, Im hoping to enroll in a LPN program this Sept. I just noticed that youre an LPN and in NJ. Could you recommend a decent school, institute or college for me? Im new to Southern Jersey.

god that was fast. i will write my nclex in nj seeing that my state is back logged 4 mos.

i am a new lpn from nj as well. you do not

need your actual paper license to apply for jobs.

nj board of nursing processed my paper works rather quickly. it took them one week after they received my official transcript from my school to give me a go signal. i guess i was lucky. then i took the nclex 2 weeks later.

this is what i did. 48 hours post nclex, i found out i passed via quick results. then i called the board of nursing right away and i was able to obtain my license number, issue date, and expiration date. they said i would receive my actual license within 10 business days. i did not wait for the paper license. i updated my resume and put my license number there and applied for jobs the next day. never did once the employers asked for my paper license.

fast forward to 4 months later, i am still at my first job enjoying and loving it. i am still learning a lot and i cannot stop smiling everytime i see my paycheck because i found myself not worrying about whether i would be able to pay my bills. now i don't have to live pay check to pay check. i love being a nurse.

i hope i gave you some motivation because i know there are a lot of uncertainties now. good luck and congratulations nurse!!

hey,

i took my NCLEX-PN on nov 29th.. 9 days ago.. i called board of nursing last monday and asked if they had a temporary number since my job offer was asking for one and they said to call back in a week.. i called today and now this lady said to just wait 4-6weeks.. what should i do? :confused:

I took mine november 13th,I knew with in 2 days that I passed but then 10 days later I got a congrats with my number but no one would except that so after almost 1 month the license came this weekend yayyyy now I am having a hard time finding a job!!!!(im in south jersey)

i took mine november 29th (saturday) and i got the results on that monday that i passed but as i have a job offer, im impatiently waiting for my license or at least a number and i wish i would get mine as fast as yours but im in north jersey.
