Hi All, I am 42 and a new grad. I would love to make some new friends and also gain some insight from those who have gone before me or even those who are still in the process. I am preparing to take my boards. I'm just waiting for my school to send out my paperwork so I can mail in my registration. Hope to catch up with ya

congrats to all of you. Im Marta from NJ and i just wanted to say, i graduated on may 21st, passed my NCLEX on june 13 and still havent found a job, its been 2 weeks and im getting worried. i was wondering if i was the only one? it seems as if everywhere i apply they want experience :(

I'm waiting for my results. I have a question. What if you go past the 85 and are on say #100 and it shuts off? I made the mistake of not looking to see what # I was on the whole way through the exam. I just kept looking at my time and thinking wow I have so much time left so I new I would not run out before I got to the 200 if I did have to go that far. I feel like I'm trying to prepare myself incase I don' make it. That's pretty sad hah?

Congrats on passing...like you I had 88 questions...I think!!! I know it was a little over 85 anyways. I want to be confident but that got me nowhere the 1st time and I felt stupid for even thinkin that I past when I didn't. So now I jus don't know how to feel. But your post made me feel a little better, cuz I thought that maybe I bombed a section and thats why my test shut off so soon, wish me luck.

Haha I did the same thing only when it crept up on 85 I made a point of seein if it would shut off at the minimum, which it didn't. But after that who knows when it shut off, Im guessin 87-89. But yeah no results yet and I hear that CA boards are way backed up so I have like 3 more weeks to wait...ridiculous huh!? Did you find out yet??

I'm going crazy. I did not realize that the 2 day waiting period for exam results starts on the next business day. The man I spoke to said I wont have my results until Monday. I finished my exam yesterday at 11 am. Do you think if I call late Friday night I might get lucky. I'm going crazy.

well...you have to wait 48 hours since your tests shut off, and thats only business days....good luck!! i had about 5 people in my class who went too question 110, 135, and even 200 and they passed, so all you have to do is wait now, becuase the odds are in your favor!!! good luck, keep us posted!

Hi, my name is Julie and I am a new LVN grad also! I took my NCLEX PN yesterday and to my suprise, I am just as nervous now as I was before the test. Sometimes, I feel sick to my stomach....LOL I didn't think I was going to feel stressed afterwards but I am way stressed!! I think I did fairly well on the test except I had so many SATA, that really sucked!! My test was pretty much a mixture of everything. The only fill in the blanks I had was my math and I had about 5 of them. I did not have any diagrams! My test took me 1 hr 45 min and shut off at 85 questions. Unfortunately, California does not participate in the quick results. I have no clue how I am going to make it thru the next month...LOL Anyone have any good insight?

sounds ALOT like my test...but if you had an 85 chances are u did well...unless u knew absolutely nothhing...but liek i said odds are in your favor!! :) keep yourself distracted, thats what i did!!

Well, I feel I did fairly well on the other questions! I had alot of meds but fortunately I knew almost all of them. I looked the ones up that I could remember when I got home and I answered them correct. I was so excited!!
