New Jersey City University (NJCU) ABSN 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the NJCU ABSN 2022 cohort, preferably at their location in Wall Township, NJ. I am hoping to hear from a current or former student in this program to see how competitive my GPA and HESI score need to be for a good shot at getting accepted. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all has anyone gone to this program? I’m interested in the jc campus but I think I’ll hsve go wait anyone know about clinicians or how many days u have to attend ?

I thought there was plenty of time. Math is my strong suit so I blew right through that section. Lot of fractions and proportions. In the reading sections the passages were all pretty short. Also plenty of time, I wouldnt rush.

Hey I have one more question about HESI. Did you have the vocabulary section as well? And I read that its a 4 hour exam (240 mins) and its like an overall countdown?

I am so sorry about all the questions but I am really stressed.

I believe it was an overall counter, and you didn't have to worry about the time too much because you will make up time with all the problems that take less than a second to answer. Think it took be about 2 hrs for the whole test so I had plenty of time left over. The sections were Reading Comp, Vocab and Knowledge, Grammar, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Math.

Hi everyone! Hope your application season is going well. I had a question about the application. I took the HESI on the 17th and have everything ready to submit. Do you get a notification if NJCU gets your HESI score? I know on NursingCas it says we don't have to submit our scores, but a confirmation of the school getting it would be nice. I plan to submit my application today since I don't want to wait any longer.

Hello! I did not receive a confirmation from the school when I took my HESI. Unfortunately, I think we just have to assume that they received it. Maybe you can email them?  I did, however, include my HESI score "unofficially" on my application, just in case .

Thanks for the info! I did exactly that and contacted NJCU's admissions. They basically said to contact Elsevier, but I inputted my grade on the application. I am sure my grade will be sent over to them. I submitted my application and now the waiting game begins.....

I think the whole point of using their school code to take the HESI was so they can pull the score. Hopefully that is the case, anyone know when they start letting people know if they are admitted. I got into another school but still waiting on NJCU so I can make my decision.

Hi everyone!

I just received an email from NJCU stating that my application has been received by the admissions committee and that I will have a decision in the next 2 weeks! Did anybody else receive this email?
