Here ya go Hon. http://awhonn.trainingharbor.com/html/FHM.php. It's the AWHONN training site. I am sure that potential employers will be impressed with your initiative.
Congratulations on your graduation and GOOD LUCK. Also remember, you will need NRP (neonatal resuscitation program) certification. The AAP website will guide you in how to study and prepare for this.

And before you get ADVANCED fetal heart monitoring, you will need to get basic or beginner training first, for it to make any sense at all. And make sure you have current BLS (basic life support) certification as well.
Best wishes.
You have to start with the basic fetal monitoring. The AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course requires 6 months of experience before you take it and is required for the Advanced course. You'll impress them if you get Basic and NRP under your belt. You might also look into the STABLE program which is about stabilizing an ill infant for transport to a facility with a higher level of care. Even if you'll be working at a Level 3 place, it will look good and the content is worth learning
Hi, I am doing the same thing! You can take the beginning fetal monitoring class online through awhonn.org I think it's like $70 if I remember correctly. I have an interview next friday for a l&D new grad Versant program that I want. I am hoping all of this will help. Hundreds applied for about 7-8 new grad positions. It's quite an adventure here in CA.
Best of luck.
