New grad recruitment

Published

I don't know if this is a silly question or not, but there is a hospital putting on a new grad recruitment fair that I would like to attend, however, I don't know if it is ok to attend since I have not graduated yet. I couldn't fine a number to call to ask this specific question. I will be graduating next month and I'm interested in working for this hospital in the future. I just don't want to make a fool out of myself if it is only for those who have just graduated. Does anyone know?

Thank you!

I'm sure they would love to have you there. A lot of hospitals begin targeting nursing students months before they have graduated. I bet there will be many people there that haven't graduated yet.

Go for it. At best you might line up a job for when you do graduate. At the very least you'll get some good information about that hospital (listen to what people dont say just as closely as what they do say). It's not like you're trying to sneak into a bar underage or anything. Go have fun, get a free pen or two.

GOOOO! Any and all exposure you are able to experience is great for you as you embark on your new profession. You may meet people and faces that will be handy to network with when you do graduate. Besides some may consider a new grad ready in a month! You can get a feel for options and benefits available at different places...exciting time and good luck!

If they're putting on a recruiting fair, they need nurses, and will by the time you graduate, too.

Be straightforward about your interest in working for that hospital, and your status as a soon-to-graduate student.

I'll bet they'll be happy you showed that interest, and they'll remember you when you are ready to go to work.

Good luck to you.

GO! It doesn't matter if you haven't graduated yet. It's always good to know what's outt here and what people are offering, so that when you DO graduate, you have a good mind of what is competitive as far as wages and sign-on bonuses.

GO! Maybe you'll get some free goodies out of it too!!!
