Hello,
I am new to this website and currently undecided on what career path to choose. I've been offered three positions and currently considering two out of the three. My question is if given the option which would you choose: Burn ICU or Stem Cell Transplant. These are both my dream jobs and I am over joyed that I got them both. I simply cannot choose!!!!! Help!

Congrats!
Since you have choices now, I would consider the following:
1) length for orientation
2) supportive manager
3) unit culture (might ask to shadow for this)
4) shift and weekend/holiday requirements
5) benefits/pay
6) commute tines
Good luck!

Based on specialty alone, I'd choose stem cell transplant.
However, I agree that it's important to look at the whole picture. What are the benefits? PTO? Health Insurance? Day vs Night vs Rotating shifts? 12 or 8 hour shifts? Any pay difference?
Thanks they are both similar in location and hours with the same orientation of 12 months. One has loan reimbursement which is amazing. They both have tuition payment. It's just so hard they both have great qualities.

Congrats on two awesome choices. What I did myself was pick an area that was growing. Also did a pro and con list.

Loan reimbursement is unheard of. Hands down, if all things are equal otherwise, that would weigh heavily in my decision at your stage in life.

Loan reimbursement would do it for me unless the position was more than a hour of travel each way.
Update! I chose the Burn ICU position !

Congratz on the job offer. I'm a new grad myself and had my ICU rotation in BICU. I really liked it. It's very different. I had an interview with BICU bur unfortunately didn't hear back from them, starting my career in Medical Oncology instead.
Yes I love oncology as well great place to start!
