so ive been in an ER for 7 months now, but my manager called me in one day and gave me the grim news that i was being laid off . I shouldve known this was coming as my hospital was cutting back a LOT. Now im pretty much going to be with my sister (unemployed new graduate RN). This sucks a lot. I do have some money saved up to last me, but its only a temporary fix. I live in FL. They laid off 3 top people in the hospital, laid off some RNs and LPNs. i have no seniority so i had no immunity at all. Its hard to think that i am considered to be unemployed now. Good thing i still live under my parents, but i have students loans to pay. I guess im back to applying for jobs. . I applied to a couple of hospitals so far that i heard were hiring, but i hope they do consider me with some experience. New grads keep youre heads up and take whatever you get offered. I never knew i was going to be laid off, but here i am. . It angers me,and i work for a for profit hospital.
