Does anyone know what hospitals in houston, texas hire new grad nurses?

Do your research on Houston hospitals. Job listing specify experience needed to apply and will list if there are any new grad programs. Make phone calls to hospitals if needed.

You'll find that the major hospital systems have mostly adopted a BSN-only policy for new grads.. although I know of at least one ADN who was hired at Memorial-Hermann Katy but she was already actively pursuing her BSN. Texas Med Center facilities all have very structured formal programs for new grads - information is on their web sites. Don't be surprised if you are asked for your GPA &/or exit test scores. There are so many new grad applicants that this information is being used to help screen out the top tier applicants.

I am in the same boat as you! Currently trying to find positions as a new grad RN. I just filled a bunch of applications for HCA and memorial hermann hospitals. Hoping to hear back. I have not had any luck yet. Good luck to you!
