I just accepted an offer to work in an icu at night and im so excited for this experience and cant even twice about turning down the offer... ive been working on a busy imcu unit during the day and want advice on what to expect from the icu and any tips for this major move im making. Also ive only been a nurse all of 8 months and have never worked nights and would like advice and tips to making nights work.

Thanks everyone for your responses... my job has been emphasising on our communication boards but i have noticed it isnt something alot of nurses worry about and just fill em out if they have time maybe... im still on orientation and hVe been asking other nurses including my preceptor about filling out the boards and would like to be proficient in every aspect of my nursing care for pts... so your input is greatly appreciated!

I am a new grad and have accepted an offer on a step down icu unit and want advice on what to expect and tips from anyone with experience in this area... and if transfer to icu later on was easy?

Me and my friends had both but we all preferred nclex mastery and all passed the first time with 75 questions...

I took the exam in Florida and got the good pop up and 2 days later found out i passed... also 2 friends tryed the same trick and it worked for them too!
