Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Good day everyone!
I sent my application form and other documents to AHPRA VIC last Tuesday and it has reached the facility two days after, Thursday. I still haven't heard from AHPRA yet. Its been six days and I haven't received an email from them confirming that they already have my papers. So I just want to ask, how long does it usually take for an application to be processed once it has arrived AHPRA?
hello dear! i just like to know the exact dates of your visa app. you lodged on may 23 then had medicals 2 weeks after, say june 6. then when was your results forwarded to embassy by st lukes and when did embassy tell you that yours is still with AUS? so that i have some comparison. how long was your results sent back from AUS to the embassy? thanks thanks dear.
hi cummulus!
can I have your mobile number? It would be nice to talk to someone who is in the same situation as I am in.. I still have no visa by the way... how about you? :)
i was also advised that my medical results would be sent to AUS when i asked for an update. but i am not sure if this is normal for everyone.
It usually just takes a month so i was not sure what the delay was for. I had my medicals at St. Lukes.
how were you able to contact the embassy? I'm still waiting for my visa and I would like to ff-up on my application.. thanks! :)

Hi,
I lodged my visa on May 23, received the email from the embassy for medicals on June 8, did my medicals on June 10. I was not able to ask St. Luke's when was my results forwarded to ehealth.
I followed up on the status of my visa on June 25 via email, they replied after 2 days in forming me that my medicals were being processed in AUS.
Finally revived my visa on July 11.

two to three months...they will send you an e-mail of your receipt in two weeks then if there is nothing wrong with your application what i mean is if it is complete then they will e-mail you stating that they will now process your application...if there is something that they need from you they will e-mail you then they will give you a month to complete the requirement they need...judging from the MANY applicants sending their application in APHRA VIC...i'd say you will have your decision letter in two to three months...i sent mine in APHRA TASMANIA I figured hey its more remote maybe they don't have that much applicant...I am still waiting by the way...
