Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Indeed, I missed filling out the Reference/Publication part. I was not able to provide references since I was thinking that they may refer to the number of research I had done in the past which I hadn't after I became RN. I just hope and pray for the best then. How long it took them to send you a confirmation email after they received your documents? Thanks!
Yep. They`d let you send an improved version, I guess, if they find it incomplete. All will be well.
AHPRA-Vic sent me a confirmation email probably after 48 hours they`ve received my documents.
I went through the all info's from the first page and traced posts by glioblastoma and ciaomin. I even got the sample CV of glio. I still have a question, can anyone please answer? I'm so sad as nobody seems to bother reading my posts Please help me.
Where does our Training from Hospitals fall? (3-4 month post-graduate nursing courses offered by tertiary hosp; the ones we pay for) Is it under PRACTICE HISTORY or INTERNSHIP? is it considered Volunteer Nursing?
Aside from the Certificates of Training (paid courses) do we still need to submit a "Statement of Service"?; if it can be considered as Volunteer Nursing?
Does Internship really include the clinical rotations from school as stated on the CV of glio?
According to Glio's CV, he gave a checklist of nursing skills and indicated if competent or observed. While Ciaomin said it includes BLS, ACLS, Standard First Aid Training, IVT etc.? Which is correct?
Thank you so much in advance to anyone who would be willing to help me. May God bless you. :)

Hello sweetie. Don`t be sad. Hakhak.
Okay, anyway, to the real business. I`d try to answer your questions, but just a heads up: they`re entirely based on my experience and I don`t really claim that it`s the "universal truth".
Training from Hospitals: It falls under work history. Yes, it is considered as volunteer nursing and should also be considered as work history.
Statement of Service: Well I guess it`s the same as the Certificates of Training you`ve obtained from the hospitals you`ve worked for. Let`s just say it`s a "more intimidating name". Hahahah kidding.
If I can remmember it correctly, Cioman94 suggested that the certificate be called as "Statement of Service" (that`s if you can) because I think it`s more straightforward than the title "Certificate of Training". The thing is that, in your certificate, your job and the number of hours (full-time/part-time) should be clearly stated. I have seen several forumers here who were asked by AHPRA to clarify their certificates.
Internship: Yeah, Glio is right. I stated the institutions I had my rotations in and the total number of hours I had them. Worked out well: no clarifications asked from AHPRA.
Checklist or Trainings: I had the checklist. I had another table stating all the trainings I`ve attended; plus the certificates for `em. Both of them are actually right.
And I can see a "thank you so much in advance" right there so I say you`re so much welcome. I hope this helps.
Good luck buddy!

Thank you Shaneyney. I'm getting anxious now actually but trust everything will be fine. I think they are still waiting for my Certifcate of Good Standing this time. I was just informed by the PRC that the delivery will take 10-15 days thus my agony is prolonged.
One more thing if you wouldn't mind. Did you use credit or debit card to pay? If you did, how was it then? Did they give you a call or email you to ask for the card code inorder to withdraw the money?
Thanks a lot!:)
Hi! I just received my LOE from AHPRA-Vic last month. And they were pretty damn quick: about 3 weeks! What are you referring to when you say reference letter? Is it a letter from your current/latest employer? If it`s that sort, I didn`t submit anything like that. I just submitted a Statement of Service which followed the format discussed on the first page of this forum and let my employers sign it. As it turned out, everything went smoothly.I`m sorry but I don`t know what CPD means. So unless you would enlighten me with this, I cannot help you.
Good luck mate!
Hey Shaneyney. Saw this post and thought you might be able to help me. I already have every document needed for the application (TOR, Statement of Service, IELTS, etc.) although i'm not completely confident with my CV that's why I haven't printed it out yet. I also do still have a few questions with regards to the application like address, payment, etc. I can't instant message people here yet so do you mind if I add you up in Facebook? Or you can add me up if you want to: [email protected]. I just really want everything to be in order so as to run smoothly. 3 weeks is really fast. Hahaha.
I used a visa debit card. Payment details should have been provided in the AGOS-40 form.Thank you Shaneyney. I'm getting anxious now actually but trust everything will be fine. Hey there cutie!
I`m sorry but I`m not really comfortable sharing my nude photos with everybody.... so yeah. Don`t worry, hon, you can post your questions here and I would answer all of them. That would be a lot better `cause you can get other perspectives from other nurses here in the forum as well.
Okay so down with the business. First question pleease!
