New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello, your requirements from your visa application seems to be a new one..As far as i know in the form 456 visa, there is no requirement for the applicant to present IELTS result. You are already enrolled in IHNA. Why is it you need to present IELTS result? As you noticed in the Form 456 visa application. Look at the checklist, there's no requirement for the IELTS>. Did you ask your visa officer? who is asking you about your IELTS? ...just to clarify your statement in your post. thanks....

there is no need for you to submit an IELTS in the embassy. just send your certificate of medium of instruction instead.

The embassy sent me a letter asking for my IELTS and medical... my friend told me to send the result even if with the 6.5 grade since it is not required by the visa and I am already enrolled...

Does anybody know how to submit additional docuements to the embassy? thank you!

I just got my new ielts result since my previous one expired last march and I got 6.5 in reading...

The embassy is already asking for the result as I am already in the process of doing the medicals.

I am already enrolled at IHNA and is due to take the BP this august..

WHAT WILL I DO?!?! can I send the embassy the ielts result with the 6.5 and tell them that I will repeat the IELTS ASAP so that I can proceed with the visa processing?

INHA is also asking for my visa updates.. :(

*HELP!!

hi patringrn, we have the same result. to everyone, is it posible to enroll in bp with one skill below 7?

AHPRA has the requirement of 7 ielts in one sitting in all subtests before they will give you the cherished letter of eligiblity.

The bp school should follow these recommendations or they are leading their students astray.

If you are lucky enough to be offered a sponsorship for a long term business visa, you also need a current ielts 7 in all subtests in one sitting as according to your professional association to get the visa.

There was a loophole last year in that many got there eligibility letters with only stating/letters from schools? their nursing education was in english!!! in countries that does not have english as first language!!! these nurses are ones now failing with poor communication putting patients at risk.

This was stopped in september 2011.

No, you have to retake
