Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hello again!
i am a cgfns certificate holder/passer (certification program) and i am not sure what document to order from cgfns so they can forward it to ahpra. is it the 1) forwarding education records/transcripts and license/registration/diploma documents or 2) certification program cgfns certificate verification letter. ordering comes with a hefty price so i would be thankful if someone can enlighten me. i couldn't find a specific instruction regarding cgfns verification in the aphra website.
thank you!

i'm not a cgfns exam passer, but i did submit my cgfns ces to ahpra. i just had mine photocopied and certified by a notary. ahpra did not ask for cgfns to send it directly. i think ahpra doesn't give much emphasis on cgfns because it's mainly for us use. of course, us nursing license, if you have one, is an essential part of your application.
Hello everyone. Can somebody help me regarding this topic. My relative is trying to convince me regarding applying in Aus. He told me to read the AHPRA website. Upon searching the net, I came across this forum. I am trying to read as much as I can but I am having now too much headache. Can somebody enlighten me on where and how to start. I tried to read the first few pages on this forum but I cannot anymore continue up to the last one. i am totally confused and dont know where to start. And as I may ask, the start of this forum is in 2010, so maybe there had already been lots of changes. But I cannot read and ingest everything from pages 1-724. So I like to ask from help to anybody on how and where do I start. Can I post my email address here?? Please enlighten me. I am totally clueless. Thank you very much.
Sorry you had to start at page 1. I would probably backtrack from middle to late 2011. Before that would be outdated and may not be as accurate anymore. You should print the AGOS 40 form from the AHPRA website. You'll find out what you need from there; any clarifications, you can post here. An essential requirement would be an IELTS score of 7 in one sitting. You can't submit your application if you haven't got this one.
Do you have a relative who is willing to sponsor you?

Thank you so much! I am not a US-RN so I guess it makes my case less complicated since I currently hold 2 licenses from 2 different countries.
If you will submit original copies then ofkors, not notarized/certified.. e.g. ORIGINAL Nbi, police clearance, statement of service..Must Certified/Notarized the PHOTOCOPY of the following documents. EACH page of your document notarized must bear the signature of the notary public:
Birth certificate, Passoort, Diploma, TOR
Sorry cant remember everything, but if you can enumerate the other documents then i can answer them easily by saying yes or no..
anyway wahtever.. or you may also ask other forumers..
good luck...
Hi cioman,
I have read the guidelines set by AHPRA regarding certification of document many times, but one thing keeps me confusing. According to AHPRA the notary should "Witness our signature". Does this mean that we need to do a signature in front of them which has to be certified and then sent to AHPRA along with our other certified documents? For your kind information, I am going to an Australian Consulate for the certification process very soon. Please help me understand the matter.
Thanks in advance...

Wow! Congratulations isingrn and thanks for sharing that one. When did you have your bridging course there? I'm still planning to apply at AAON. I sent them a message and they told me that they have an April 2012 intake but I don't think I would be able to make it. I still have to secure the needed documents for the immunization history that they require as part of their application. Do you have any idea when will be their next intake? How fast do they respond to applications? Are they strict in selecting their applicants as well as with experience? I'm a bit worried about that since I have less than 2 years experience. How was their interview? Please do share it.
