Does AHPRA have an official form for verification of licensure? What did you guys use for the PRC verification? does this have to be sent directly from PRC, or can i send it along with the application? TIA!

They have the format. I think it's the Certificate of Good Standing (?). I asked AHPRA before if we have to use it since not all areas in there are applicable to overseas nurses. They said that it was not necessary but at least put all the information that are applicable. So I sent my nursing board the format and told them to just provide as much info as they can. Licensure verification / registration certificates should be directly from your current (and past) board of nursing.

Included in the Application Confirmation email that AHPRA-WA sent me was:

"In order that your application can be assessed further, could you please forward a certified copy of the course outline or student handbook from the university or institution where your qualification was conferred. We do not require the whole course syllabus, simply an outline of the courses conducted, and the theoretical and clinical units undertaken within each course."

I think everyone who sent their application to AHPRA-WA received the same email. I just informed the registration officer that I already included the Course Outline in my application.

Hope this helps! :)

Don't forget your college diploma as well :) Well the latest update I have is that my documents are for final approval already. I think I still need to wait for more weeks before I receive my LOE :/

haha yeah i forgot to mention my diploma... :D thank you very much for enlightening me! i'll pray that you will receive your LOE soooooon :)

where do u plan to take your BP? CON or ETEA? i've been reading around CON and ETEA websites,, do you happen to read in their website regarding a pre-requisite hospital experience? do they really require an experience? i haven't read anything about it... However, when it comes to AHPRA, i believe they require at least 3 months experience right?

I think in CON they don't really require a working experience, I'm not quite sure with ETEA though. I am planning to take my BP at CON if time permits. Its too expensive in ETEA since the tuition fee is 16k aus dollars already.

i think the inclusion of course description depends on what is written in your TOR. Others are requested to provide such because their TOR's aren't enough to tell whether you have enough hours or credits. My TOR has all the hours - theory and clinicals - as well as a brief description of the nursing subjects.I did not submit one although I anticipated ACT will ask for it, but they didn't.

Good day, I would like to ask how many months did you wait for APHRA- ACT to have your papers completely assessed? Many thanks!

How much is the tuition fee in CON for their BP? Thanks aila61!

I think we don't need to provide a certified copy of the cert.of good standing since it will be sent directly from PRC to AHPRA. Am I right with this?

I think so, because it is considered an original document from the source.

AHPRA - ACT took a while to finalize my application - 7 months in total. But that's because my application went from the case officer, to the director of registration, to the board meeting of NMBA.

We were 42 in our batch. There were only 13 Pinoys. The rest were from India. Anyway, the theory lasted for 3 weeks and they were basics of nursing. The only thing added were the Regulations and Policies of nursing in Australia. After the 3 week lecture, we were assigned to different hospitals and nursing homes all over Australia for 5 weeks. I was fortunate to be assigned in Central Coast of NSW which was only an hour's train ride away from Sydney. The others were assigned to remote rural areas. The clinical placement was nothing new except for some machines which I was not familiar with. Then we fly back to Melbourne for 1 more week to wrap things up and submit the essays. Of the 42 students, only about 5 people I think didn't make the early exit. The rest of us did. The 5 were all from India. It's their English competency that was usually lacking.

All in all, I am glad I went to ETEA. Except for the price, I wouldn't mind recommending it to my friends for BP. :)

Thank you very much for sharing your experience joiemike. I'm a bit hesitant in applying at ETEA because of their tuition fee but I think I will still try. Were you able to find a job before your short stay business visa expired? I'm also concerned about that since some are saying that it is already hard to find a job there. I'm afraid I might need to come back home because of that. :(

Hello!

Is there anyone here who applied for AAON (University of Ballarat) or was able to have the bridging course there?
