Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello Ladydee. Thanks for the response. I called AHPRA today and they said that the contact number of the notary public was not included in my papers.
I'm gonna talk to the notary public later.
I'm getting really frustrated, hoping that this is going to be a smooth sail.

Documents to secure while in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:1. Certificate of Employment from your employer
- if written in Arabic, there must be an English translation from an accredited translator, recognized by the authority in the country.
2. Police Clearance (Jeddah)
- you can get this by yourself. just visit the nearest Philippine embassy/consulate
- you need a copy of your iqama, copy of your passport, 2 pcs 2x2 picture and your processing fee of SR 100
- please check with your nearest Philippine embassy/consulate. This is applicable in Jeddah only.
3. Certificate of Good Standing (Saudi Council)
- visit their website. print the certificate of good standing request and submit it in their office. you can either chose to have your certificate printed in arabic or in english
- Fee: SR 300
Just a reminder to all nurses here in the Kingdom. We are located in different regions with different employers. Always check with your hospital/region's policies in securing documents.
God bless us!
Hey there, Thanks for this information but I would like to clarify something regarding the Police Clearance/Criminal Background Check. I submitted an online enquiry asking if applicants need to send an NBI, Saudi Police or any other clearance from any other agency and this is exactly what an Information Officer from AHPRA Canberra, ACT replied:
"AHPRA conducts their own Criminal History Checks, therefore you don't to provide one yourself."
Does anybody have any idea about this?
If I may ask, where did you get this information for Saudi-based nurses?
Waiting,
Peter Zarate
