Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I had my Varicella and MMR shots with them. I plan to visit them tomorrow or Tuesday for the dTp, which costs 1,400php by the way. I'm not sure if there is additional payment for the certification. They issued me a Certificates of Vaccination card which includes the Vaccine, Product Name, Batch/Lot No., Date, Physician Name/Sig/Lic No. and the Center's Seal. I will also ask if the doctor can give me an official certification that I had all the required vaccines.

Regarding the visa support letter, I guess I have to submit my Evidence of Current Immunisation as soon as I finish the dTp shot. I'm done with the Mantoux test and Hep B titer a few days ago.

did you just sent them a hep B titer result? would it be ok to just send them the titer result or we still need at least one hep B booster shot and the titer result? thanks

Hi!

Regarding Hep B, I have a record of my first 3 shots plus 2 boosters. I will include those with the titer result. I did not send the results yet. I plan to email CON all the required evidence of immunisation after I have finished with the vaccines.

About your second question, to be sure, i think you have to ask CON directly. :)

how much was the mmr shot? i was charged 1500 at makati med for the vaccine+cerification. in case you dont know, if that was your first time to be shot by the varicella vaccine, you have to wait at least a month to have your second shot. same goes to mmr. now if you had your chickenpox when you were still a child, varicella serology is the better choice. makati med has this service.

pay the tuition, submit ielts result, send forms 2 and 3 + evidence of protection and xray in case youre tst is positive. then if they still wont issue your visa support letter, give them a call or email them :up:

Yes, I did. All I know is that their first intake is from January 30 to March 23.

no need to request. just download forms 2 (tb assessment) and 3 (vaccination).

i got a positive result in my mantoux test. damn!

anyone who attended or who will be attending to con got the same result? what

instruction did they give you? what evidence did you provide to prove that you

dont have tb?

hi! i have a positive mantoux test result with clear chest x-ray. i was really worried about the result that i had to ask the clinical placement coordinator a couple of times about this matter. =) here's what he said:

[color=cyan]again as i mentioned in my earlier email, i was advised by the chest clinic that even though you have a clear x-ray and positive result to the mantoux test, you will just be required to get another chest x-ray just to confirm that your chest is clear. i have not heard of anyone not being accepted to the course, but again if your chest x-ray comes back positive then that may impact on your course / clinical placement.

They charged me 750php/shot for the MMR. I'm done with the two shots of MMR and Varicella already. I went to Jacob's Ladder earlier this afternoon to have the dTp vaccine. :)

Just wanted to share some good news.. LAst Friday October 21st was my church wedding around 3pm. When we got home after the wedding I checked my email and there comes another blessing.. It is my long awaited reply from APHRA. After waiting for 3 short months i finally got a response from aphra. The letter says I have a contact # and case manager... thats a good start... knowing that my papers is already taken out from their bundles of application... BUT, my case manager says they havent receive my CERT OF GOOD STANDING and my TRAnscript does not show # of theoretical hours and they also wanted me to show them what subject was credited from my previous course..

My bro already sent the cert of good standing and yet they could not locate where it is. so I have to send a new one and ask for a course outline frm my school...

Course outline? is there anyone here ask for the same thing? a course outline of the nursing course and subjects from previous course that is credited??

is course outline different from the ones showed in ones transcript where in there is a subject and grades been given?

by the way Im from DAvao City and my school is in Madapo and im a second courser...

hello, may i know in what state did you send your application??? I sent mine in WA just this month and i heard its taking them longer to assess the applications as compared before. Thanks in advance

I think they will issue the visa support letter even if your not yet done with the immunization as long as u have paid the coures fee. I recieved my visa support letter today together with form 2 and 3, and invoice of payment made. I am still not done with my immunization, just got my TST today. Hoping to submit all the requirements before December 2nd.

Hi there,, Congratulations to you!!!

1.) about Certificate of good standing - It should come from the registration Authority to be sent directly to Ahpra. You can go to PRC ask them to send the certificate of good standing and gave the Address where to sent it.

2.) About Theorical hours: Im also a second Courser but my case manager didnt ask for any subjects that was credited from my first course. In my school, we have what we call OTR ( TOR with hours). at first i just send them my tor and my RLE, and my case officer asked me for TOR with hours, you can ask your school if they have it, because when I asked my university they told me they have it which they call OTR, only the hrs and the units are there no grade at all. It indicates the hours of every subject taken including Theory and practical. Also you can submit the course outline, i did the same.. GoD bless !!!
