New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi i just would like to ask if one is remunerated (financially) while on clinical placement? thanks

Is there anyone here who enrolled in the e-course of IHNA which is Introduction of BP? IS it really necessary to have this course for a student to be granted an offer letter from IHNA?

Hi Fellows at La Trobe!

I have lodged my passport today at VIA Center Cebu for visa stamping at the embassy.

The in-charge at VIA told me that all passports must be sent by them for AU transactions. However, when the embassy will mail you the stamped passport, it will be sent directly to your desired address.

The fee is P500.

Hello everyone,

I read the messages posted in this forum and I noticed that nobody has mentioned about Australian Center of Further Education (ACFE). I just received a Letter of Offer from them for their January 2012 intake. I'm planning to accept their offer. I just want know some infos about this school. Has anybody tried doing their BP with this school? Please, I need some assurance.

It's the IRON program a lot of people here have been posting about. I guess it's just to be specific. There were applicants who are doing the Cert 3 (for ENs). You might get more responses if you are more specific ie IRON program.

No. You don't get paid as a student doing a BP while in clinical placement.

Good evening nurses :nurse::nurse:

Need your side with my query. How would you know if your application has been already assessed? It's been almost 2 months i sent my docs and it's been a month after i sent the additional docs AHPRA WA asked me to procure. I received an email 2months ago that noted:

Dear *****

AHPRA acknowledges receipt of your application for registration.

The application is currently being assessed and you will be notified if any further information is required.

Once your application has been assessed and processed you will be advised of the outcome.

* the italicized bold line- does it mean my application has been assessed?

Please help me with this..

Thank you so much

Hello nurses..:nurse::nurse::nurse:

It is already 2 months after i received 2 emails from AHRRA, one to ask for + docs and the 2nd email was for the receipt.

Perhaps i got this mix emotion of being excited to receive a letter from AHPRA or being anxious of what is really happening to my application.

I really want to ask you guys if how would you know your application has been already assessed , since i received the last email telling me this:

Dear *****

AHPRA acknowledges receipt of your application for registration.

The application is currently being assessed and you will be notified if any further information is required.

Once your application has been assessed and processed you will be advised of the outcome.

* the italicized bold line- does it mean my application has been assessed?:confused::confused:

Please help me with this..

Thank you

Hi makikay_rn,

As it is listed above in bold letters, your application is CURRENTLY BEING ASSESSED meaning it is still on the process of assessment, evaluation, review, and discussion.

Should you receive an email saying Your Application HAS NOW BEEN ASSESSED, it means they have reviewed your documents and a decision has been made.

Keep praying and don't stop believing. God will grant the desires of your heart if you delight yourself in Him :) :) :)

hi makikai!

i sent mine at ahpra in perth also. that was on may 20 this year.

the same e-mail content with your post was sent to me by the day they receive my package as i tract it on fedex.

on june 10,

an e-mail was sent to me by ahpra:

dear mr invanz,

we are in receipt of an application for general registration (graduated or trained overseas) as registered nurse, enrolled nurse or midwife and all the documentary requirements to complete an assessment of your application form.

should the board find you eligible to enrol in an accredited registration bridging program, a letter will be placed in the post informing you of such.

please be advised the postal address you have written on your application form will be the address the board will use.

kind regards,

Hellow to Everyone!

I'd just like to know if there is still an intake of IHNA formerly VCHN for this year?

I want to help a friend of mine.

I think that she was fooled by her agency..

The agency assured her that there is an intake at VCHN every month and informed that she will be taking the BP within this year.

She will be taking the E-learning prerequisite course next week...

Its 160 hours and a must before she can be accepted

Thanks very much for all your help...

I sent it to AHPRA-WA. :)

I see. I also sent mine to AHPRA-WA to which I received a system-generated e-mail acknowledging that they received my documents last August 19. However, I haven't received any e-mail from them since then. Have you done consistent follow-ups regarding your application to AHPRA? Thank you again. :)
