Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Good evening nurses:nurse:
Need your side with my query. How would you know if your application has been already assessed? It's been almost 2 months i sent my docs and it's been a month after i sent the additional docs AHPRA WA asked me to procure. I received an email 2months ago that noted:
Dear *****
AHPRA acknowledges receipt of your application for registration.
The application is currently being assessed and you will be notified if any further information is required.
Once your application has been assessed and processed you will be advised of the outcome.
* the italicized bold line- does it mean my application has been assessed?
Please help me with this..
Thank you so much
hi makikay, thanks again for all the help. I'll be sending my documents tomorrow to WA and I'm getting nervous that I might experience the same delay as yours. I already sent my IELTS to WA that's why I have no choice anymore. God bless with your application and do update me if you receive your eligibility :)
Hi! my documents are now complete and good to go; that is after browsing and reading the discussions.. just to be sure that I won't be missing something.. I have read that the "potential employer" of one of the members here did not acknowledge his/her documents pertaining to his/her statement of service because it did not adhere to AHPRA standards? If I am going to follow this strictly does that mean that the certification coming from my previous employer need to have a "Statement of Serivce" on its letterhead? My employer did not put the exact phrase instead, "Certificate of Employment" Is this acceptable?
(I believe they are of the same meaning) but I'm a bit paranoid for fear that I'm might encounter some problem in the future..especially when presenting this documents to my "future" employer in Australia.
Please enlighten me about this..anyone?
Thank you!:)
Where did you send your application? I'll be sending mine tom. hopefully everything goes well with my application. God bless :)

As of now i can say i am not experiencing any delay since its been 2 months after i sent all my docs. I am just nervous at the same time excited for the outcome of my application. Anyway, just be positive, prayerful and be ready for any instruction AHPRA will give you.
Good luck and God bless to us ishtin and to all forumers:):):)

I did all my medicals in Cebu 2weeks ago. They charged me with Php4500 for the check up with the doctor, xray and blood works. I heard that in another facility also under the Panel Doctors specified in the DIAC website they charge P500 more.
