New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi makikay_rn,

As it is listed above in bold letters, your application is CURRENTLY BEING ASSESSED meaning it is still on the process of assessment, evaluation, review, and discussion.

Should you receive an email saying Your Application HAS NOW BEEN ASSESSED, it means they have reviewed your documents and a decision has been made.

Keep praying and don't stop believing. God will grant the desires of your heart if you delight yourself in Him :) :) :)

I am just curious 14162S001 why i don't have a reference number and i am also not sure if the 1st email acknowledging my application and asking for additional receipt is my reg officer.

Anyway, you are definitely right prayer is the most powerful defense for our dreams to come true.. :)

Thank you so much..

God bless you :lttang:

Hellow to Everyone!

I'd just like to know if there is still an intake of IHNA formerly VCHN for this year?

I want to help a friend of mine.

I think that she was fooled by her agency..

The agency assured her that there is an intake at VCHN every month and informed that she will be taking the BP within this year.

She will be taking the E-learning prerequisite course next week...

Its 160 hours and a must before she can be accepted

Thanks very much for all your help...

Try contacting the school directly to get up to date information. The "within this year" stated by the agency is very vague so it is best to get a hold of the school. The BP of VCHN are more frequent than any other school I know but I am not sure how often it is. I hope your friend makes it this year. Cheers!

I just received a post letter from CON today. They acknowledged the receipt of my application to their Brodging Program But they were requiring more documents to be submitted. They are asking for "A Valid letter of refferral from AHPRA". I'm confused on what do they meant of this. ARe they referring to the Eligibility letter from AHPRA? Coz if they do, I already sent them a scanned copy of it when I sent my application to them via email. Or maybe they want me to arrange with AHPRA to send them a letter of referral. Is this it?

I need to be clarified. SO for those who have done their BP at CON, your help would be greatly appreciated.:redpinkhe

In addition, the letter also requires me to submit a "valid current VISA for non-Aussie residents", evidence of immunisation status and police check. I'm just wondering why they are asking me to submit a current VISA when they are already aware that I could not get the VISA without an Offer of Place from them. ( I'm pretty sure that this letter that I received is not an Offer of Place yet.)

Quick question friends, Ive been meaning to ask this for quite sometime now.

I am a registered nurse here in the Phil, with some experience, mostly doing pdn work for a rich uncle who fought with the big C.

I am now pondering and been wanting to try and go to Aus, practice nursing there and maybe start a business here.

I am also a US registered nurse and my question would be somewhat related to that.

Do I still have to take the BP/Iron program for me to be registered there as a nurse, or would my USRN license be viable for them to consider me getting licensed/registered?

Thank you and have a good day.

Having a U.S license does not waive you from BP/IRON,unless you are trained and educated in the U.S.A. Many members here hold U.S license but still needs to undergo BP to be Aus. R.N. Good luck :)

I also received the same letter a while ago. :D. My guess is because I submitted my application scanned and send it through email. We need to provide them a hard copy for formality sake and they will not placed us on waiting list and process our application with out the said documents. :)

Hi.

Yes, you still need to undergo a bridging program.

I myself have a US RN license and I'm actually working in the US for 2 years now. And yet, I'm not 100% sure, 50% even, if US experience is enough to skip that bridging program.

Hello Aussie students! Do all of the people here who finished their bridging course landed a job in Australia?

How much is the total money you spent in Australia for 12 weeks of bridging course?

Hi there!

I also received an e-mail from them and sent them the documents they were asking. I just want to ask if your AHPRA letter is already a certified true copy? Because I think you need to submit the letter duly authenticated by a lawyer. For the visa thing, you can just send them the certified scanned copy of your passport.

Hope this helps.
