Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

[color=rgb(65, 105, 225)]checked my inbox today and this is the message i received from ahpra:
"i refer to your application for general registration (graduate or trained overseas) as a registered nurse received on 23 august 2011. assessment of your application form and all documentary requirements has been assessed.
should the board find you eligible to enrol in an accredited registration bridging program, an email confirmation will be sent."
it seems vague. what do they mean about that?

it means
- they received your application for registration on 23 august
- they've assessed your documents
- and they will send you an email once they have a decision

Hi guys, i have sent my application to ahpra today. Verification was sent some time back in july. after this, will i get some correspondence from ahpra aknowledging receipt of my documents? if so, how soon, approximately? Or am i only going to get some correspondence after a determination is made on my application or when they need to clarify something with me? Please help!
I just interpreted that email for zonroxRN because he found it 'vague'. If you back read this thread, you'll find that it takes about 2-3 weeks (depending on which state you sent your application) before you get confirmation that it has been received. I'm sure you have provided them with your email.
Hi guys!IDP told me that after approval of a student visa, there's no need to go to the embassy to have them stamp the visa to your passport. Is this true? Has anyone here tried going through the airport immigration and all that with only your unstamped passport and your approval letter?
Hellow Raze!
That's NOT what IDP here in Cebu told me. In order for us to pass without any hassles at NAIA, the passport must be stamped by The Australian Embassy. IDP had asked this several times at VIA Center here and agreed to its need.
Anyway its just a P500, a medical receipt and your passport...

I tried asking OZ Embassy too and they sent me instructions on visa evidencing. Good thing I asked. Thanks too, Invanz!
