Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi.No, I sent it through mail. I live here in the US.
But yeah, try to get hold of anyone from NM BON. They may just allow you to send a request letter and the fee. If they don't have any form for verification to other countries, then ask them specifically what they want. After all, your nursing license and info is sort of a public document here in the US, and being the holder of such license gives you access to it anytime.
I am just curious why the AHPRA WA did not ask me to let the NM BON send my license verification form, its more than a month now that they emailed me for additional requirements and receipt of my assessment. Hope they're okay with my license card from NM BON and the certificate. haaayy :coollook:
Ill call later during the office hours in Alberquerque NM..
Thank you again iamnomad
I called La Trobe yesterday and ask if I could reserve a slot since the international bank draft was sent last Monday; The personnel did not mention anything about the slots being full. Being the OC that I am, I emailed LTU that same day asking if I could reserve a slot for the January intake. Here's their reply (which for me is kinda vague):"Thank you for accepting your Offer. Your Offer Letter was for January 2012 intake and you will be commencing your course in January."
Like you I am still awaiting for my CoE. I hope we can get a positive response:D
let's just be positive.
it's just too early for la trobe to say that the january intake is full already since there might be some students who might backout.
in addition, isnt it that we are given up until dec 1 to accept our offer?
i think that they are closing the january intake for new applicants

What I understood from the exipiration of the offer is that it will still be valid until December 1 IF places are not yet filled up. A lot of forumers here who were given the offer letter have accepted already. That's the reason maybe LA Trobe said that January intake is full already. :)
Maybe you can still try to plead to give you a slot. Just state your reason to them and hopefully they'll consider that. :)
@ mookieblackShe suggested that I take the May intake but I informed her that I can't go May next year, the may intake ends on August 23 2012.My IELTS will expire on September 25, I dunno if 1 month is enough to look for an employer and get a working visa. I think they are still accepting applications but for later intakes next year. Junuary intake is already filled.
I'll lodge another application to William light institute and AAON as fall backs. I already submitted applications to CON,HPH,DOH NT.
Deakin University will conduct IRON on March. I might consider it also.
Hi !!
Do know schools that will conduct a BP on Feb 2012?
We are really in the same boat, ielts will expire on 25 sept 2012

Hi,
Can anyone help me with this?
I browsed the AHPRA website and it stated there that IELTS score of 7 in all categories must be obtained in ONE SITTING..
does this mean IELTS taken the first time must be 7 in all bands? or you can retake it as many times as long as you get the 7 required?
just a bit confused with that statement, thank you in advance for your help!
