Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
Hi! you know what, I would have been in that same situation have I not done my own research. I was referred to an agency assisting nurses to go to Australia doing unnecessary course for 2 years. They were offering me to do a community service kind of course while also having the luxury to work for up to 20 hours per week. BUT I did my own research since I was having doubts of spending so much which would not eventually lead me to a registered nurse there. Good thing I stumbled upon this thread while googling how to be an RN in Oz.I started reading from the very first thread up to this second part and thank God! I was enlightened!
I suggest you read the first page of this thread first and then you'll find out :)
*Thank you allnurses for the bday greeting!
Happy Beeerday princessblush! Godbless!
Good morning nurses..
I really have something to ask with you guys and this is about the form for a licensure verification. I tried to call the BON-NM to confirm if the form i will be filling up is the thing i found in their website, but its always the voice mail and i do not have any reply of my email to their office. So, can you check this one especially to those who are NCLEX-RN who used this form to send to usa.

I am just scared of sending the form wrongly..
thank you for the help..
Hi Invanz;after applying online for the visa, did you need to submit your passport to DIAC? how did they give you the visa?
Hellow jakey!
I haven't yet submitted mine for stamping at the AU Embassy in Manila.
The IDP officer told me it is compulsory so that I will not have on-the-spot problems with the Immigration here in PH.
She said that I would have to lodge it thru VIA Center here in Cebu. Attach the receipt of my medical exams at Nationwide and a P500 for courier.
Ill be sending mine next week. Got straight duties for this week!

I think that verification form is for nurse practitioners. And its stated there that they don't verify RN licenses because of Nursys. I had almost the same problem when I asked my BON to send a verification to AHPRA. First they told me to send a form from AHPRA requesting for my license info, which such form is nonexistent. So they just told me to write a written request with all the info AHPRA needs. Maybe you can do the same.

ok that is why. because they are claiming they are not an agency. hehe. so they are saying that before leaving for australia, you would already have an employer. anyway I am just interested to learn about them because of the help in financing. But I just want to know the catch.
